When searching for my messages on this forum (sugs&bugs) I only find a few messages from 2014, and then nothing until back to 2010. Where are my messages ?

Your issue has pointed out a bug (a few actually) in the crawling of Forum Messages for Search.
Basically, due to lack of an index, the Full Crawl for the messages was terminating early and several years of messages were not being indexed.
I am testing the fix now, and should have this fix deployed in a day or so.

If I re-bookmark an article, the bookmark creation date should be updated. This would be especially helpful if the sort modes in my previous post are implemented.

"Should be"? I disagree. If you've performed an operation and you try and do that again we typically take the Route of Best Optimisation: Do nothing.

If you're solely thinking performance, that's fine.
But if you take off your developer hat for a minute and think "better user experience" (read "added value adds ad revenue"  ), I urge you to consider this use case:
- User bookmarks an article.
- Some years later, the article is updated and appears on the home page.
- User has forgotten s(he) has already bookmarked the article, and bookmarks it again.
- User wants to find their bookmarked articles. In the "new and improved" Bookmarks UI, this article should show up earlier in the results, which by default should be sorted in descending order of bookmarked timestamp. Rationale: Recently bookmarked articles are of more value to me than ones I bookmarked a long time ago.
Data point
I now seldom use the Bookmarks features because it doesn't meet my needs. Instead, I email myself a link to the article, with the subject tagged with [Code]. My inbound filter files this in a folder called "Code". I can browse these "bookmarks" in my email client by title and date bookmarked, and search by partial title (very useful). Clickety[^]
Wouldn't you want CP to contain this functionality so users don't have to leave the site to access this feature?

I use OneNote and put links to the articles, along with their title and a short description. I also have the notebook synchronized to Microsoft OneDrive, so I can add things on the go.
I also have other coding-related things in the notebook.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

More validation that the Bookmarks feature leaves something to be desired. Ideally one shouldn't have to leave CP to access their bookmarks.

I remember years ago a suggestion was made that if an article was updated, the users who had bookmarked the article would be notified that there has been an update. That way the user can keep track of something that has peaked an interest. I don't think that feature request was implemented, don't know if it is planned to be or even being considered yet against all the other stuff that is going on.
That would be of more use than the user stumbling across the revised article and re-bookmarking.

Yes, I agree having the "article last updated" timestamp as a sortable column in the bookmarks list would be extremely useful.

The Bookmarks feature is a great one, but in its current form, it's nigh impossible to locate a bookmark when you finally have the time to delve into that eye-catching, juicy bit of code. This is because the Bookmarks view is permanently sorted by category (which may be nice as a default, but isn't useful when you're trying to locate a bookmarked article). Please consider adding these sort modes:
- Bookmark creation date
- Article last update date
- Author

When I view an article in IE, the stars displaying the average votes for the article is not displayed correctly. The stars are empty, with text behind them. Screenshot[^]
If I switch to compatibility view, the stars are moved to a new line and there is a lot of whitespace on the right (enough to push the "About Article" box halfway off the screen). Screenshot[^]

I am no site admin, but that might be the problem. Has it been working before? And why are you still using IE8?
