The only profesional thing to do, is to report the bug in TFS ( or simular ) and let a superior decide by who and when ( if at all ) to fix the bug.

If you fix the bug and unwilingly break other code that depends on the broken code then you are responseble and should be fired.
My second computer is your linux box.
