People who put themselves in the public spotlight need to develop a thick skin, somebody is going to hate even the most loved public figures. If it hurts you that people pick on him there are therapists who can help with that.
The reason I wouldn't invite him to Thanksgiving dinner is his disrespect for other countries[^], and a feeling of entitlement[^] that he is above what people find socially acceptable[^].
I guess he's just another victim of affluenza[^], poor kid[^], he's going to have a tough life when his acting career fails...

I pick on Justin Bieber because he is rich and famous and that is what us normals do. Make fun of celebrities. To be honest, and this is why there is a judicial distinction, making fun of a celebrity is not the same thing as making fun of a person. It gives us a safe vent. Besides, I secretly like the biebs; if I were ever to invade a small country and needed physiological warfare I would just play his songs on repeat.

Never listened to his stuff but the media headlines about his "troubles" combined with the photos that make him look... ummmm... less than intelligent certainly give me a negative perception.
All that being said... I agree with other posters: I don't care a bit about celebrities (Lohan, Kardashian, etc...) therefore there can be no "hate".

It is not particularly him, or his music making me upset.
It is the fact that he (and whole bunch of todays "musicians", "artist" or whatever they should be called) think that they can do everything they want just because they got a lot of money. I can forgive teenagers throwing eggs at someones house, but this is definately something a 20 year old isn't supposed to do. The same goes for spraying a wall because the nearby restaurant didn't give him "any crayons while waiting for dinner". And if someone like that (Goes for all the pricks, not only Bieber) becomes someone teenagers look up to I am not wondering why todays teenagers became what they are today.
Bruce Springsteen came from a working ghetto, made it to the top but was never involved in a scandal (apart from the divorce from his 1st wife). The same goes for The Gaslight Anthem, Bryan Adams and many more. Don't tell me that it is hard to live a reasonable lifestyle.

I don't hate him. I do however hate the fact our society rewards him with riches while nurses, school teachers and others who contribute so much more to society than he does are ignored.
If he retires and uses his riches for the greater good (think Bill Gates foundation) I will respect him.

Fun things you can do with computers these days; look at your cars ECU with a laptop!
Just got the cable, 20 euros, and hooked my alfa up to FiatECUScan on the laptop and its quite impressive. Apart from reading and clearing faults, and running all sorts of diagnostic tests, you can graph various parameters, about 60 of them, in real time.
For the first time in my life my hobby has met my job.

Oh, I forgot the point of it all, I replaced the RHS precat lambda a week or so ago, there are two of them, and it looks like I picked the right one, because that error is not coming up now.
Its gotta save a shot load of garage bills, Cars are so dependent on electronics these days. Engines and gearboxes last forever, but what causes cars to breakdown is the electronics. Having an easy way to diagnose these is a great!

Yep - I have a dedicated unit (http://www.autel-tech.com/[^] handheld jobbie) which does the same. Saved me quite a bit of money already: engine light came on, hooked up, "Cam sensor" problem. Ebay, nextday, one bolt, clear error, all fine. Total cost about £40 and ten minutes time. So about £150 at garage rates!

Yeah, its a no brainer isn't it. Anyone who can wield a spanner can change a sensor here and there. Coil pack on the plugs? They fail often, even simpler to change, an unplug-replug job.
I just got a quote to change the cam belt, 450 euros! F*** that! Special tool, 50 euros, belt kit, 100 euros, and a few hors on a Saturday morning.
