(Just asking here before digging in the WordPress support and user pages)
Dad maintains a couple of blogs on WordPress.
One issue he's having is spam in the comments; the comments section is moderated and he has to manually delete all spam before event starting moderating reall comments.
Do you have suggestions for WordPress plugins or mechanisms to help him manage that?

Buddy of mine suggests 'anti-spam[^]' and 'akismet[^]'. He uses them on the client sites he hosts for people.

Akismet + Bad Behavior + check the "Comment author must have a previously approved comment" box
the first two block most things. and those that get through go straight to moderation. i see maybe two a month.

I've been procrastinating to long and decided yesterday that I need to get started on it.
Remodeling the laundry room which involves crawling under the house to get material list.
But darn the luck it's raining!, so I'll have to put it off until another day!
I'm bad about getting started but once I do I go to the end.

A couple of months back, I had to adjust our dryer vent hose and it is until the tightest section of the house. I feel your pain.
A couple of days ago, it was adjusting the thermostat on the hot water heater; again, under the house, but at least accessible.

Well I bit the bullet and went under the house, tight squeeze in places and went from one end to the other only to find out that what I need to do can't be done from under the house. At least I got it out of the way and I can now give my son some options and proceed.
