Problem:
I have to create Server and client console applications in C# with Xml and .NET Remoting communication. I can get My remotable object and server side to work, however my client side won't.
The objective is to pull data from an Xml file and display it in the client console, after the client has made one of two choices.

.NET Remoting is a deprecated technology. Use WCF instead.

i have finished my project,now i wan to implement into my client place,my backend is sqlser2008,when installing sqlserver2008 its taking so long time to install,how to deploy the database with my application itself ,i have tried the local DB (srvice-oriented database.sdf)but its not working,i knoe i am missing some steps can you guide me for this one.,

If you need SQL server, then you have to install it - regardless of how long that takes: and it can be a while as it is a complex program, and needs some good google skills just to install...
The other option is (as you say) to use a local database, and SQLCE (.sdf files) is one option (there is also SqLite or even :ack!spit: Access which are fine for single user apps).
So what "isn't working" about the .SDF file solution? What is it doing that you didn't expect, or not doing that you did?

Read the xml files into collections, make up a treeview item object that holds the info you need, transpose the 2 collections into the treview collection and bind that to the itemssource of the treeview. Josh Smith has some excellent articles[^] on treeviews.

Ummm...the entire point behind a dissertation is for YOU to research the topic and write code for it, not us or anyone else. This is where YOU demonstrate that you haven't been sleeping through class and understand how to do research.

Hi I am using a Datagrid in a grid. The parent grid has gridsplitters and whole package is inside a page.
At runtime this page is rendered in a frame which is in a scrollviewer. Following are the major issue I am facing:
1. User unable to resize rows.columns despite setting CanUserResizeRows/Columns property to true.
2. When I try to reduce the gridsize beyond the number of visible rows, it doesn't happen.
Someone please reply.

The current me have a 1 GridControl executable extra fixed on the Grid, column 1 my setting attributes AllowEdit = because of sai it is ID, but my wish to adding new column of this AllowEdit = true, but when edit on the line already have the data will be AllowEdit = false. You are known as helps. Thanks.
