Yes, of course. That could well explain it as they'd probably not want to give too many awards of merit to one person.

Just a thought or opinion.
She is brave and what she did needs tremendous amount of courage which most humans are deprived of.
I was happy when she got EU prize of human rights yesterday, because Education is human rights and she was fighting for it.
But Nobel Peace prize ! IMHO and Wikipedia Nobel Peace Prize is given to who has "done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses".
What she did was not that. Again this is my opinion.

It's not so much a specific criteria, it was the phrase used in Alfred Nobel's will when he described the Peace prize. How they interpret that phrase and apply it is totally up to the judging panel, and the full details of their decisions, who the other nominees were, and so on are not made public for 50 years.

Much as that young lady is to be admired, she really is a long way off deserving a Nobel prize. Mind you, I agree they really fouled up when they awarded it to Obama.

The thing is this wouldn't be able to work, this case clearly demonstrates it. Pete O'Hanlon originally posted a gizmodo link, then I posted a direct youtube link (not having seen his) and now you have posted a google plus link. And so even though the content is the same there is no way to automatically tell that.
At least this way the Leslie Nielsen insider joke can live on

It is true this was posted here a couple of times before, but this time I was finally able to check it out and see what the fuss is all about. It's pretty well done, but why didn't she just use her powers to clean her laptop?

It goes to show that for all our technology and arrogance we humans are powerless when it comes to defeating natures threats.
Bangladesh may see the worst of it as it's geography will intensify the situation.
