There are no countries other than the US in that article, despite the fact that the US didn't contribute a disproportionate amount to the history of computers.

The article isn't "computerWORLD", it's "computerLOOK-AT-US!", and it's not about the history of computing, it's about the history of the few contributions by the US, and tries to give the impression that that's all there was

It's biased and misleading crap, that leaves out everything in the hope of making one country look better -- y'know, just small things like the fact that the targeting computers they so proudly hold out as a sign of US dominance in computing were designed by the Royal Navy before the battle of Jutland, little stuff like that.

And try getting the point before making comments; it makes communication more effective.
