am i missing something on number 10? i don't see the darwinism?
i would love to know what the one with the guy between the two cars was all about.. what sort of hooch do you have to drink to think that driving testicle-first into a pole is a good idea?

Looked like a charcoal Barbie to me - a bit messy indoors but I wouldn't have thought lethal? I mean, I have an open fire (granted with a chimney) so with a window open ?

I must need sleep. 
While #17 was a hoot to watch a few weeks back, personally, my current vote for 2013 is the idiot motor-bike rider that brake-checked the black Land Range Rover during the annual NYC bike ride.
While the identity of the deceased is not known, (it may have been the original brake-checker, or one of the angry mob sitting in front of the LR RR) being part of a threatening mob sitting in front of a 4wd, on a motor-bike no less, definitely takes the cake.
Besides, #17 seemed easily old enough to have re-produced already. Moreover, to qualify you need to be removed from the gene pool _or_ remove your ability to contribute to it.
I think personally, it's probably the Arabic year of the Darwin awards - there sure are a stunning number of applicants from Syria thus far!

Which is why #2 is my favorite - it should take care of his ability to contribute to the gene pool. However, I think it has to be staged.

It seems I may have to find another nominee to get behind for this years awards. 
In an amazing stroke of luck and good fortune, the fella that was run over actually survived - albeit with spinal injuries and broken legs. There is no expectation that he will walk again.
Unfortunately, to temper this encouraging development - he has had children. They will have to deal with this for the rest of their lives too.
So clearly, disqualified on both accounts. Not dead, not prevented from contributing to the gene pool.
