The only way you're going to do that would be to create a known invalid URL and try to navigate to it. Then you wait for what the server responds with. Usually, there's only one 404 page on a site, but it is possible to have multiple 404's per site.
You have no way at all of determining the location of these 404 pages external from the site. There is nothing to can do to "find" them.

Hi,
I want to get the language defined in html or meta tags using php as <html lang="en"> using php. I have searched a lot in google but cannot find any way. Similarly i also want to get the language in site being used as if the site text is in japanese there shoould be any function to return the japense language using php. Is there any way to do this?? urgent help needed. Thanks

I hope I picked the correct forum.
I have a personal project (asp.net MVC application) Just branding to go. I have a list of domain names to check, And I remember reading somewhere (I thought from the CP newsletter) that some of those sites register the name you lookup so they can sell it to You (at increased cost).
This will be My first venture at publishing a website.
Any suggestions as to a reputable site to use?

Hello
I know there are a lot of incompatibilties between browsers , but what I am axperiencing now seems quite paradoxical.
I have a small web page with the following simple html in it :
label {width:240px;background-color:aqua}
input:text {width:70px}
Stato servizio
Messaggio di benvenuto singolo
Tipo messaggio di benvenuto singolo
I expect labels and inputs to appear exactly formatted in columns
and having the same width .....
This effectively happens, but only in IE10...If I use Chrome (29) or Firefox (10) every label has the size of its contents,no matter what is specified in the tag ... only the background color seems to correctly follow the style directive. Is there a way to make browsers follow standard html, and to work around eventual incompatibilities?

There are two problems with your styles:
- By default, a
<label> is an inline element, and width doesn't apply to inline elements; input:text is a jQuery selector, not a CSS selector;
Try:
label
{
width:240px;
display: inline-block;
background-color:aqua
}
input[type=text]
{
width:70px
}

Ok thank you, I followed your suggestion and had a big improvement, even though there are still differences since the input object seems to be much smaller in size on Chrome and Firefox than on IE .... is it possible to fix this problem too ?

There's a lot of differences between the default rendering in different browsers. You'll need a browser normalization stylesheet[^] to get consistent rendering.

In my company i used to run various in house developed web application launched from a single center point. Now user who have their dedicated desktops/laptops are asking me to give a provision where they can login one time per day then their system maintain their session does't log them out after a certain period of time as it is doing right now (only in case of user keep siting idle after logging in the web portal) please give any idea.

As i mentioned earlier it is a web portal. when some one log in it with then links or icons of other web application are shown there(so that user need not to give same user name and password again and again ). My application is deployed on IIS 7 and windows server2003

Hi friends,
I am currently designing a simple webpage(Eclipse indigo with MySQL) that will maintain the company project details. As am new to Java, I was able to frame the frontend and backend in one machine.
The database, code was developed from my end and the database has all the data.
The link is http://localhost:8080/projectname
Question is How to open the same link developed in one country, to be open and used in another country ?
The users at other end are just suppose to enter the data and play around with options provided.
I dont understand how to interlink all these.
How to make the link to work in another machine and the user must be able to see the data ?
There is no particular server assigned for this project.
Can i make my machine to act as a server.
How do i solve this issue?

Hello experts:
In my web application I have a form where user can send SMS to any phone. Because it is a form and have a submit button the function is declared something like this.

There is web service which sends the SMS message to participant client (phone). In this web service call we also have to provide PostBackUrl, so we could see the response which client has provided.
This response is coming in form of JSON and HttpPost.
I am puzzled how declare such function.

I need to find places in a concrete city, where many parameters should be matched:
1. WiFi (exists or not in this place)
2. Live Music
3. Alcohol
4....
I can do a request to get all the cafes in Paris, for example via Google Places API Nearby search, but I don't see any information about WiFi, Live Music etc, even when I do a detail request for concrete place. Of course, I can get reviews and analyze them, but it's difficult and not a good way. Are there any other Places API (not Google) that offer such information? I would appreaciate hearing any ideas on how to achieve this task.
The full criteria list is:
