Personal observations back you up.
My SO is always cold unless the temp is above 76 (24 or so for the rest of the planet). I start complaining of how hot it is when the mercury reaches 73 (23C). So you can see the problem which occurs...
Both of us are sneaking to mess with the temp control. Most of the time she wins during the day. I always win at night. This is due to the fact that I become a very active sleeper when I get too warm and it is getting difficult to explain random bruises to people.

You can also save water by peeing in a bucket.
Oh.
You do that already.

It is a constant struggle for control of the heater between me and my wife too, although not because of the cost.
She feels the cold a lot (has a vague diagnosis of Raynaud's phenomenon), I do not and hate being hot.
She's sat there complaining about freezing to death whilst I'm wearing nothing but a pair of shorts and complaining about wanting to open the windows.
A cold person can put more clothes on, I cannot strip any much further.

Just for a moment I was confused as I was thinking of Renfields Syndrome[^]
Now that would be a problem!

Well living in Singapore cold is not an issue
I do love travelling to a colder climate, last cold trip was to the ice festival in Sapporo, it was bloody lovely to be cold again, 5 foot of snow was a real pleasure to walk through.
I have on occasion wondered if it is possible to strip to less than the skin layer to get cooler, Ivanhoe NSW brings back memories of 40+ temperatures.

sadly this argument never works in the war of the office thermostat either. (And not just because the user adjustable ones are placebos.)
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

We all know what the cost will be if we forward this thread to Michelle.

Isn't the real question what the price we can charge to *NOT* forward it to her?

IIa counted beans: the prototype. IIb was the production model, which naturally worked much better!
