I was trying to reuse the existing css classes, and without !important it was not working on all the browsers, so it was a quick fix.
And many times you have to use !important. Overuse of it could be problematic, otherwise it is not a bad practice to use !important in your css classes.

So, the process of transition to a new CEO could take up to a year, or at least that is what the media highlights.
The thing that springs to my mind is;
a) Why take so long, you hear of CEOs in other companies coming and going quite quickly, anyone looking to take up the position probably doesn't give a rats ass about what and how things have been done in the past, all they want is the keys to the executive bathroom, a parking space, and freedom to them explore their new organisation, understand the people and then formulate their own game plan for moving the company forward. After all, all the department VPs and product managers no what they need to be doing in the short term, so can get on with the immediate issues within their own responsible groups.
b) Is this a clear demonstration of how MS is slow to move on anything?
c) They must have an idea of who they want, probably have a short list already, or anyone who is serious about taking that job will surely have already knocked on the door to say let me in.
The board need a rocket up their arse from the chairman, if they want a deadline to work to, how about 31/12/2013 better still I would give them to the end of September, leaving the 4Q for the newcomer to find his/fer feet and set out their stall for moving into 2014.
A year is an eternity in the world of IT, companies can come and go in a year, things can seriously move on in a year. Anyone got a rocket and I'll supply the match to save them arguing over who will pay for it.

I read it as coupled with Bullwinkle's departure the board are thinking about the direction MS should take. They don't really understand where they are going to fit into the market and will need a CEO who can find that new direction. MS are at a crossroads, this is the end of the founding fathers and now they have to work as a company bereft of the personality [good or bad] that brought.
I see MS moving to a more business centric habitat, picking up their income from an OS that can support business needs. My guess is they'll slowly exit the more shiney end of home [and mobile] computing and concentrate on higher income from a smaller market.

I'm fine, at home, but due to fly back offshore on Tuesday.
Speaking with colleagues and reading all the social media buzz around the matter, there is a seriously unhappy workforce as you would expect. You probably noticed it on the news that someone has even created a facebook page dedicated to removing this type of aircraft from the fleet, it has gained almost 30,000 likes in less than 48hrs. At the moment we (our company) should not be too badly impacted, as we run predominantly the other main work horse, the S92. But having so much of the North Sea fleet grounded will have a huge impact. The black boxes should be recovered today, and we are all waiting to hear what the initial investigation find, there is another review setup for Wednesday with the industry steering group to see where things are going.
It is a terrible event, and after just having the 225s returned to service earlier this month and for this to happen so soon after has really put a huge dent in offshore workforce confidence.
Could be interesting times ahead the next while...

Good to hear you're safe. Helicopters are mightily complex beasts, a bit like a woman without the rational level headedness.
I have a good friend who's a retired pilot. Flew fast jets in the RAF and later converted to civilian airlines. He ended up his career as a senior instructor for BA, qualified on all their fleet. He absolutely cannot stand rotary wings and gets airsick, as he puts, just thinking of the buggers.

Just thought I'd add I saw someone on the news over the weekend suggesting that helicopters shouldn't be used for crew transfers at all, it should all be done by boat...and I think he was serious! 
I can only assume he's never seen the North Sea, let alone how much it goes up and down near an oil rig...

These are typical knee-jerk reactions as usual. Boat transfers introduce even more complex set of risk management parameters, namely transfer times, crane man-riding/lifting operations, frog transfers, tighter weather envelopes for transfers etc.
If the problems persit, boat transfer would be used as a last resort just to get through the bad patch, but wouldn't become the norm.

I think he intimated that he wants somebody to share his vision of taking Microsoft towards his ideal of committing the company towards devices. That's probably why it will take a year to find someone. Who would want to take Microsoft in the direction of making a greater pile of shite than what have they now. The Surface LFE hasn't been a success. Who'd want to take that on is either a Ballmer arsewipe or a buffoon. If someone can explain the difference between the two, please enlighten me.
