True.
Also notable about CLR4 and .NET Framework4+:
The Dynamic Language Runtime[^] (introduced in .NET Framework 4), added support for dynamic languages[^] to the CLR
It is a paradox that paradoxes would actually exist in reality.
That means of course that they don't exist.
However, they do!

that's when I get confused!

C# or course is a language while .Net is framework/api on which C# depends.
First ones were in sync because they were the first ones and because they were developed together.

I tried working out what's best for me but too much marketing and different opinions.
I want a device that my wife and 2 year old can use at home with Wi-Fi. Good camera for home shots of daughter, Internet access through Wi=Fi and some Apps downloads.
Have desk top for everything else.
Cheap unit because daughter doesn't play nice.
any recommendations?

"Cheap" and "Good" don't generally play well together!
The Cheap end of the market (Android tablets on FleaBay are from about £50) aren't good - accuracy of finger is not generally good, and reliability is pretty poor.
Your camera need rules out the Nexus and the Kindle which only have front facing, which is useless for photography. And then you're up into Apple territory, with Apple pricing and this week's model.
I think you would probably be better off getting a Nexus or Kindle and a smartphone for the camera!

Yep! I'm not that fond of smartphone cameras myself, but they do fit in a pocket, which means you have it with you when you want it.
