This looks like a call to a web service using XML, but is really a server that splits out delinted text. There is a char value missing that seperates each field that is not showing above.

You simply don't understand what your working with here.

It's a fixed response. It's always let's say, 80 items, always in the same position. Kind of like a floppy disk, which is divided into 80 sectors. But I digress,

1 - 03903
2 - Business
3 - Post
4 - Paid
5 - Contact
and so forth until the end

So you figure how to just request the response, decode the response, and split the value into an array string or list or something, then you can access each value by number, so if you want value 1, you look for response(1)

Maybe somebody else can expand or help out further.

hi, friends,
I am developing the web app for touch device.
I have the gridview inside the DIV, showing the list of data.
if I used the scrollbars for this div, it is no good to scroll by touching on touch device.
I want to scroll up/down on the gridview content like the swiping.

because, the users will try to swipe the DIV by touching rather than scrolling on the scrollbar.

how can I achieve?

Hi,
I have a table created in database. What i want to do is to print the data from a column in table inside <menubar>

For example:

In the above code instead of the text of li "Home", i want to print the content of column in table.

Dear all,

Need to ask you guys who have work on JasperReport with Asp.Net MVC 4.

I've done some project which required report in pdf, and we have choose jasperreport since it easy to use with mysql.

When i call the report through jasperreport web service REST, it return the stream but i cant to make it be downloaded as pdf.

So is there anyone have work on jasperreport and asp.net?

Need your guys help

long ago that I have been researching how to create a report with crystal report server that runs in iis 7.

I have done various forms all running on my machine, only to put on the server, the report never appears .. I wanted to know how to do through dataset. I have a stored procedure that makes my select and this takes 1 parameter to perform the search. I need to know how to create a dataset where I pass this stored procedure, and then the steps you need to take to create my report through this dataset, and then put on the server, so that everything can work perfectly ... any ideas??

Dear All,

I have a question regarding data access from SQL server 2008 to Asp.net 4.0 application... My question is what is the best method to get data from SQL Server, Table, View, Stored Procedure, function.. My Problem, why I am asking this question, I want to access data from Stored Procedures and I have to define parameters on creation time of procedures and have to use them all in asp.net form to access data. But I want to give rights to user, get data with nos of parameter if he wants to use otherwise no filter all data would be displayed... and he has right to use all filters or no filter or whatever that is defined. So in this situation what would you guys recommend to get data from SQL using Stored Procedure, Tables or Views and how is that possible?

hi Shuja,

at its base is all activities when using Parameter Stored Procedure, we must define its parameters simultaneously dengna making its Stored Procedure.
using LINQ or the Code definition ConnectionsClass (SqlClient, ODBC, OleDb etc. ..), its all the same to use parameters.
but if you want to save the program code, you can make it with a parsing technique parameters such as the example below:

in SP,

SQL

ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo]. [GET_SALER_ORDER]
(
@ SALESNAME VARCHAR (20)
)
U.S.
SELECT * FROM WHERE TABLE_SALES SALES_NAME LIKE @ SALESNAME

and in its asp.net code, you can call him by implanting code like this:

salesname var = "%" + parsingsalesnamevalue + "%";

             var sqlcmd = new SqlCommand ("GET_SALER_ORDER", sqlcon);

             sqlcmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
             sqlcmd.Parameters.AddWithValue ("@ SALESNAME", salesname);

This means, if the value of its parsingsalesnamevalue empty, meaning the application code to call the data without the filter, if its opposite, meaning the application code to filter based salesname.
is this what you mean,
or you can tell me more detail about your wishes,

Has anyone had any problems where a website behaves differently with Microsoft Internet Explorer 10? I got a call from someone who said that he could not use a drop-down window on a web page I manage after he upgraded to Internet Explorer 10 and he did not have any problems before.

If my memory serves me, it is not possible to have two versions of IE on a computer (which is what I would like to do to test this). Is that right?

Also, is it possible to uninstall and reinstall Internet Explorer?

With Internet Explorer 10, conditional comments were abolished. And other types of browser sniffing were greatly discouraged by changing the browser identification string.
When your web site works correctly on a current version of Firefox or Chrome (without browser sniffing!), it is expected to work with IE10 too.

That was a good article to read.

It's getting harder to trace down all those little bugs with new browser versions, and some of the asp.net features used in my programs, like maintain scroll position.

What kicks my butt is safari on the iphone and ipad, like how drop down and list boxes are treated.

First You need to nuget. You can download from here http://nuget.org/[^]
After install this Opentheproject >> VisualStudio >> Tools >> LibraryPackageManager>>Select Package Manager Console

We are using a web service(asmx) to communicate with service provider.

Problem: We are getting a web exception while sending and receiving response.

Exception Details :
1) Exception Message : The request was aborted: The operation has timed out.
2) Exception Status : timeout

We are getting this timeout status within 40 seconds whereas we have set webrequests timeout property to 180 seconds.

Can anybody please suggest me the solution of this problem??

Double check your time again, the WebRequest class uses timeout in milliseconds, so if you did something like

webRequest.Timeout = 180;

That just means that it will expire in 180 milliseconds and not the expected 180 seconds.

If your time is correct, then check with the server and make sure that the server does not close the connection after sometime without completing the request.

My timeout time is correct, I have set webRequest.Timeout = 180000;

I am getting two types of webExceptions :
1)
Exception Message : The request was aborted: The operation has timed out.
Exception Status : timeout

This timeout happens within 40 seconds, whereas I have set timeout 180 seconds for my webrequest.

2)
Exception Message : The operation has timed out.
Exception Status : timeout

This is normal timeout. It happens after 180 seconds.
