What kind of doc you want to print without displaying the print dialog? Do you want to print the current page? a PDF file?

i am learning php from [http://www.lynda.com/PHP-tutorials/php-with-mysql-essential-training/435-2.html]. When i am at the "Building a Content Management System" part, i am having some trouble.

In addition to Richard's comment, I'll point out that mysql functions have been deprecated.
You should instead be using the PDO or mysqli extensions. (They sanitize user-input and help protect your databse)

I just constructed a reporting system using PHP and MYSql, it worked fine on my WAMP but since making it live sometimes it throws an error and won't allow anyone to insert data.
I think it's because multiple people are trying to enter data at the same time or it could be just on my end.
Is there a way to handle the traffic? I was looking at "deadlock" and found this:

I'm loading some html as a text string, and displaying it in an ASP.Net page.
The html has a link in it, and the link isn't clickable. It is decorated link a link, but the cursor doesn't change to the finger.
What would be causing that?

Well, I tried pasting the code into the aspx file, and that didn't help UNTIL I moved it to be before a series of canvas tags. But any link that follows the canvas tags don't work.

The problem was that the canvases were too big, thus somehow masking the link tag.

Have you tried enclosing the link(s) within <p></p> tags?
I've seen similar quirks with large tables.

I have a form with many dropdowns and text boxes and a file upload.
I want to display the file path as soon as it uploaded without refreshing the entire form.
I am able to upload the file but the file path doesnot get displayed in the label.
however after refreshing the entire page i get the file path displayed in the label
Please help me

Hi
I am trying to develop a webpage that will display images that are stored on a server and then allow the user to right click on the image and save it to their local disk.
This should be simple but the images on the server are not stored using the standard .jpg extension even though they are jpeg images, they have .d01 extensions and I have no control of this. In IE7 when you right click on one of these images the "Save Picture As" option does not work, it just says "System can't find specified file", oddly the Email Picture option does work.
Is this something which is peculiar to IE7 and can I get around it in some way. Unfortunately due to restrictions on company PCs I can't update IE or install other browsers.

When I put my video file which is wmv about 4M on my web server directly and using html embed wmp to display the video, it seems very slow or even not displaying the video.
Any suggestion so my large video file could be played on website without waiting for a very lone time WITHOUT using streaming server?
Is that convert video to flv and played by flash player a good solution?

Without streaming, the entire video will need to download before it starts to play.
I don't understand why streaming is not an option here. It is generally built into the web server. You might not want to host a separate server just to host media content, but streaming should be possible. What type of server is the site hosted on?

I want to have streaming technique on my site but I am using a web hosting which do not provide streaming server, just simple web server only.

There should only be a small delay when streaming.
The link I gave you explains that the metafile is the only file sent to the client, for it to locate the media you wish to stream over a network.
I have only ever used Audio streaming, and that didn't require streaming services on the web server. Maybe someone else can verify whether video is any different.

I'm a C/C++/C# developer and I've worked with Java/XML for Android as well. If I want to learn to create web-apps, where's the best place to start?
I know the basics of CSS / HTML. A some-day goal: create an application online that could plot / modify different functions or signals.

You know C# and you say you also know HTML and CSS.
Jump right in and start doing an ASP.Net project with your C# skills to develop a web site. You didn't mention javascript so I would recommend that you pick that up as a definite skill.
