Such behavior goes out of control.

This member http://www.codeproject.com/Members/mic-phil[^] asked not a very sensible question: "does anybody get any reference": Custom Build Cloud Computing[^].

So far, nothing criminal, though; formally, this is still an answer. But later, OP posts an "answer" which is merely a link to some CodeProject article on some related topic: Custom Build Cloud Computing[^].

OK, who gets help from this "answer"? Everyone could read this article without any reference. This is just a useless trash added to CodeProject and a waste of time. Yes, many beginners post "the answers" which are in fact used to clarify the question. It can be considered as a mistake. Such posts are down-voted and removed, but I hope nobody report such beginners for abuse just for one offense. However, I can see many accounts were cancelled as a result of reports on the accounts, but this mostly happens on systematic abuse, when it becomes closer to spamming.

But in this case, OP also formally accepts own answer. I can see such behavior more and more often. Isn't that the time to technically prevent answering own questions? After all, the negative effect of this limitation would be very little. The cases when OP, after some thinking, gets some answer valuable for others are very rare. Even if such limitation is introduced, the author or such a valuable solution can always post a tip article, if not a full-scale article.

So, I suggest to put such restriction, it will be helpful.

And I invite everyone to report on abuse of this sort, but perhaps not in case when it can be considered as a mistake -- then it would be enough to explain OP how to post things properly.

Thank you,
—SA
