Hi,
Could anyone tell me how to remove session timeout feature from asp.net website.
The session of the user need to be closed only when he/she clicks on logout or close the application or else the webpage has to be in alive state till the time.
Increasing the sessiontimeout in <sessionstate> is also not solving the problem.
Could you tell me how to do it, if possible Could you share a link with example.

You should not implement such feature in the interest of your web server performance. If you keep sessions alive for long period then it would affect your website performance.
If you really need to have long session times, then increase the timeout to a decent level. Set high value in Web.Config as well in IIS settings. AppPool recycle time too will need a tweak.

I have a copy of the production version of a C#2010 web form application. When I am running the application, I am missing part of what is displayed on the second layer of the web page. The logon page looks fine. However when I go to the second web page, I am missing part of the header. I have the top level header, but I am misisng the second level header.
Can you tell me determine what I am missing? Should I be looking for the missing connections in the web config file? What do you recommend I look for?

Sounds like more of missing resource files like background images.
Has that been master page missing, I doubt your app would have run without errors.

I am having a gridview...data is coming from the database and is shown in gridview. Like, Employeeid, Employee name etc. So, Each row is showing an employee's id and his name. There is a view record button added in gridview using template field. When a user clicks on the button the complete record of the employee is shown in another gridview placed down it.
Now the requirement is , User should not need to click the view record button rather If he clicks anywhere on the gridview row the data should be displayed in the second gridview . So , the problem is i have to identify the click over the gridview row and then get data from database and show it in another gridview.

I would like to know How to run client side - server side - client side functions in a row...
Actual situation is like this: I have a check box and a button and on the click event of the button i will run a db method to export data to excel. If the checkbox is clicked then I return all rows else I return only 100 rows. All this happens without a postback.
So, when I click on the checkbox, I am saving the checked status in a hiddenfiled and using that value in the code behind button click event handler. Now, if the check box is clicked, then I want to return all rows and uncheck it automatically. Since there is no postback, it is not unchecked even if do it from code behind or invoke javascript function from code behind.
I can't give the code since it is a part of some complex implementation. Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

Use Javascript. Without a postback, it'll be have to be done on the client.
I can't give any code, since it's complex. Look at the Ajax-example of W3Schools.

i am using crystal report in asp.net 2.0.
the report is showing perfectly when clicked on report button,
But after showing the report if i clicked on print or export or any button the report is invisible.
Its very urgent.

Sounds like clicking on print or any other export buttons trigger page postback. You need to re-bind the crystal report document object to the report viewer in the Page_Load event when a postback occurs in order to use export and print functionality.

I have created a dataset(.xsd) and added a datatable in that. through query i am filling the value to ds.
Then i added a rpt file.
In the form i added one crystal report viewer.
but i dont know how to load the crystal report using that values. (code for the crystal report).
Please help me out. its very urgent.

You can do the following by:
1. Inject Javascript function on mousehover/onclick & mouseout of the link in a grid row.
2. Using JavaScript, show a div/text that contains the needed details
3. Using JavaScript, hide the div/text onmouseout.
For injecting JS, you need to use RowDataBound of GridView, something like:
