I am currently writing an article which has both VB and C# code which does exactly the same.
I need to show lots of code examples and posting two code blocks for each example makes the article even longer than it already is.
Is it possible to do something like on MSDN where you have one code block with tabs [C#][C++][F#][VB][Insert language here]?
This is the second article I am writing this way and I haven't heard any complaints in the first article, but it would still be great Smile | :)

Nice tip, but what am I supposed to see?
I don't see tabbed code blocks and clicking on (C# Version) only changes the url of the page...

Oops, I must have linked to the alternate. Go to the main tip. The alternate's links no longer work because they were put in place in the old tip/trick system. In fact, I'll be deleting the alternate once a certain bug (unplanned feature) is fixed.

Based on my above test, it works in tips, but not in the forums.

EDIT: Also, it doesn't work in the tips preview, but it does work when the tip is published.

In case of programming articles or other technical articles, there seems to be a intuitive need of an attachment function in the comments section, so that the author and user can interact better in a query-answer session.

This is a problem I faced when trying to solve a query on one of my articles and I had to give and take some code files through emails....so I wished an attachment system would be appealing and a nice feature to be. Afterall its the famous CODEPROJECT !!

Yeah - we've gone back and forth on this one a lot. The possibility of abuse is very high given the noise level in the forums, so we've always been reluctant to take on that responsibility.

Maybe it's time...

Yes, a website and coding community like our CODEPROJECT needs to be growing and be full fledged with all basic and needed features.

Security measures are indeed the ones that had to be considered sincerely....but that should not come in the way of the growth of CODEPROJECT....

I hope to see such a feature coming through...

With the current community policing in place, I think the spam levels could be kept in check. May be it could be tested for a few days to see how it goes before it is made a permanent feature.

Under Zones, the word "The" is missing before "Sharepoint Zone".

Might I suggest dropping the "The" and sorting them alphabetically.

Might I also suggest moving "Whitepapers / Webcasts" under the separator bar since it looks lonely up there.

With respect to the second issue we've formed a steering committee to investigate the issues involved, liaise with the stakeholders, assess any potential HR or departmental conflicts and from there draft initial recommendations to the board on creating a formal working committee to determine next steps.
