This seems to be a problem with the new submissions wizard - I am getting the same problem. It doesn't look like its; the first version, I think that it is the latest with the same problem.

However, I have found a workaround.
Edit your Tip, and remove all code - check the preview and make sure you have no non-text elements visible.
Go into HTML mode with the <> button on the toolbar.
Put the cursor where you want your code.
Add the pre tags manually, specifying the language yourself:
<pre lang="c#"></pre>

Then paste your code inside the block (between the > and the <)
Press the <> button again.
The display looks wrong as the syntax colourizer isn't activated, but the preview will include it.
Ideological Purity is no substitute for being able to stick your thumb down a pipe to stop the water
