I was informed I was getting an 8.5% rise, but I was wrong.

Is obviously not world peace. That would only last for a few days and what good would that be to me?
Clients or managers that can explain their requirements? Santa Clause might be able to make reindeers fly and he has elves working for him, but this? No way even he can pull this one off, no one can!
Improved health or fitness sounds nice, but that would be me giving myself a christmas present because this can't be achieved without me actually doing something about it. So no, let's not go that way.
My company sold for squillions and me getting a part of it? Since 'squillion' is not an existing number and I don't want to take the risk of it turning out to be only a couple of millions also let's not wish for this one.
Stress? I don't even know the word. I am a relaxed guy by nature.
That means I can also rule out the more time to relax with friend and family. Another drawback to that one is that if they don't wish the same I'll be left all alone.
Better work environment? Maybe, I could use some colleagues who actually know what they're doing. This could also mean another job or career, but in all honesty my co-workers are a nice bunch and I could do a lot worse.
Already getting the raise (and a bonus) for new year, so that's out of the picture too.
Having ruled out all options I would say this survey is missing an option... Salma Hayek! (Would've said BACON, but I'm a veggie). But Salma is some meat I'd do 
Or how about getting those 'squillion' points in CP rep.? In that case it wouldn't matter if it wasn't all that much. Rep doesn't buy me anything anyway.

I wish this is not going to be last year for this planet as the prophecies say and also some films have been made about the year 2012.
Also they are not all of the reason for my wish, If you look at the overall financial and political and social situation of the world you may have some considerations like me

Stop listening to the Sky Pixie Fanciers, and calm down.
Even if what they "predict" was true (and experience says they are full of bullshit like they have been so many times in the past) is there anything useful you could do? Either to stop it, or make it better?
And won't you feel a proper idiot if you assume it is all going to happen and prepare yourself by selling everything, and abandoning yourself to wild debauchery, (or penance, I'm broad minded) and it doesn't happen?
