We can give you access to your article, but that would mark your article as "unedited" at the top. The reason we don't allow author access once an article that has been "edited" by one of our editors is that Code Project has a consistent style our readers expect and enjoy. That said, we'd prefer to keep authors happy.
We can either:
a) change your article to "unedited" and give you full access
b) you can email us some changes you want made. There are a few authors who like their formatting a certain way, and I'd be glad to work with you to find that symbiosis. (the advantage I offer is, our article editor won't do everything you ask it to do, but I have a talent for coercing it)

Thank you for your offer. I will take you up on that (a)). I will not go crazy with the formatting but it would be nice to try to manage it myself. If the only disadvantage is a tag that says "unedited" then that is OK for me.

ok so I have some javascript that I am adding in pre block with lang="jscript".
the problem that I am running into is that my javascript also has html strings that are being worked with. so the formatting goes all crazy. 
is there a way that I can handle or is this corrected somehow when the article gets published?? I tried setting lang="HTML" but the formatting was still all wrong.

If its JavaScript within HTML then set the Lang as HTML,, not jscript. The coloriser will switch to the correct colorization with each change of language within the HTML

There is a known bug in the formatter where it cannot handle double slash (i think), and this upsets the formatter. That might account for HTML still showing wrong. As long as you use HTML as Chris said, then things will be fine, and if and when they fix the bug, the colours will sort themselves out.

I had some trouble getting a small C code formatted for my first article on code project. After a couple of trial and error, got it right.

The fake check scams and dating scams have been troubling people since a couple of decades. However, their methods and techniques have augmented with the rise of Internet and world economy. It takes several forms, but you surely can protect yourself from such frauds if you have the right knowledge for avoiding them. It is a widespread misapprehension that if your bank facilitates the accessibility of the funds/amount to you through a check, then the check is valid. However, in reality only because the bank makes the amount obtainable to you does not imply that that your bank has received that certain amount from the bank of the other party. Therefore, the check that you deposit in your account is actually your liability.
Check scammers take disadvantage of your misconceptions by requesting you to send certain amount to them as quickly as bank facilitates the availability of the funds to you. One common technique is by sending a counterfeit money order with an amount more than the obligated and then they would request you to send the difference through a cheque. This is common if you sell something on the Internet. However, check scams and scammers do not stop here. They employ several other ways too. Another such way is to offer the victim a home job such as help desk or data entry through the internet and then making an overpayment through a money order and then asking him/her for difference refunding.
There also exist the African russian scammers that are sent in most of the cases from Nigeria. The scam mail says that the reader will get millions and millions of pounds or dollars for providing them help to get out of their country. In the other version of this scam, it is mentioned that the sender is dying from cancer and before he/she dies, the person wants that the recipient of the email must get a part of his fortune in his exchange for helping orphans.
Always remember, it would be wise on your part to not to send money to any person until you verify with the bank that the check that you have received has cleared and was valid. When selling services and goods, ship them only after getting a confirmation that the check was cleared. In case you receive a check with more amounts of money, return the check and ask them to send a new check with the correct amount. In case of African scam mails, it is better to ignore them rather paying any heed and money and then lament.

Start with the guidelines[^] for more details. If your article has a sample application then you should post a full set of source files, including any control files required to build it (e.g. Visual Studio project and solution files), and maybe a working copy of the executable file.

I came across a Tip/Trick today that, while it works ... it does what it says it will do ... appears to me a poor example of concept, coding, etc.
There's an alternative method to achieve the same thing which is so much 'cleaner.'
On QA, I usually try to keep in mind that many questioners are relative newcomers, perhaps English is not their mother-tongue, and I try to make my points about their code, and my answers and/or my queries trying to figure out what they are asking: in a polite way (a way that happens to coincide nicely with the social norms for public behavior with people you are not intimate with of the culture I've lived in for ten years [Thailand]).
But, yes, let me "come clean" here: sure; sometimes I revert to being an obnoxious American yahoo
But, I wonder if there's any difference in custom/folkways/mores on Tips/Tricks: are you (all) a bit more directly critical ?
Perhaps it would be better to post an alternative Tip/Trick showing how to do the same thing in a more efficient way: or; would that deprive the original author of the "credit" they might deserve for being the "initiator" ?
Any thoughts ?

I think it best to be honest with people, regardless of their culture. No need to be rude but straightforward and tell them how you see it. At the end of the day it is just your (or my) opinion. In any case, if you know of a better way to do something then you should post it - why give someone credit for an incorrect or inefficient tip/trick - that's like rewarding failure - surely most un-American!

I will sometimes leave a comment (e.g., "you don't need a loop, it can be done with a calculation" or "the variable xd isn't used anywhere"). If the code is significantly different, I will leave an alternate. If there is a bug, I will either leave a comment or just fix the code by editing the original tip/trick (and then I'll post a comment to make note of my change).

Hi, I think this is good and relevant advice, for constructive criticism, and I pretty much follow it now (I hope).
It's a little more "sticky" when you feel the entire premise, technically, of a QA answer, or solution, or a tip-trick is way out of kilter, or reflects some weird way of doing things, though.

How about post your own tip/trick with your method in it, then link to it from a comment on the one you weren't happy with? A win-win, and people who find the first one will get the benefit of a link to your solution also...

Let me turn this question upside down a bit for you? Do you think it's right that people take code from a Tip/Trick and use it even though it is poor practice, and could help them to become worse developers?
Don't leave a poor Tip/Trick in place. If you have a chance to correct it, then you are providing a service to other developers who follow and use the code.

Hi I have never posted an article on Code Project, so I would like some feedback on My Idea. I have looked over the template for submission, However None of the heading's apply. If I change the Heading's will my article be rejected?
My idea for this article is:
Development for beginner's By a beginner. It will contain link's to resources from Code Project and other internet site's, as well as my insight's on the learning process.

So long as it isn't very short (in which case it would work better as a tip/trick than an article), I say go for it. Like Chris said, the headers there are just to guide you (i.e., to give you a starting point). Here is one example that sounds similar to your idea: Beginner's Walk - Web Development. As you can see, it has a rating of 4.84 and 67 votes, so it has been very well received.

FYI, that would be "Development for Beginners by a Beginner" (the apostrophe followed by an "s" is typically used for possessive, not for plural).
