I register an account in order to post a question to C# forum. I am greeted with a confirmation of my email address request. I then go to my email box to confirm.

You just want to embarrass me, right?
The short version is that we were packing together data in binary form, and then sending it to a service to complete the steps to confirm your address. However, the receiver was assuming a fixed sized packet and because one of the pieces of info in the struct being sent was your member ID, all member IDs above 2^23 (8,388,608) were causing an overflow.
That particular piece of code was written about (in essence) 10 years ago. I guess I just wasn't dreaming big enough back then

Hi,
Yesterday i was looking at one article for approving it and gave my opinion for the same. After that it was shown that there are a total of 5 reports for the article.
Today i was able to give my opinion for that article again and this time i was shown a total of only 1 report for that particular article.
I think this shouldn't be the usual behaviour.
Since i wasn't allowed to vote again on the first day, the same should happen the next day as well. I shouldn't have been allowed to vote.

It may have been that the article was made available and then sent back to "Pending", or was deleted and then reposted. Either of these situations will result in the article losing all votes and comments.

Can you please add the editor for questions and answers to the "add comment" so comments get the same love.
Typing [& l t ; for < etc.] is a pain for answering with code samples in the comments

I think comments are just comments. If you want to get pretty then post an answer/solution. I think it becomes more than a comment if you add bells and whistles.

Comments should allow minor formatting, but definitely not the full fledged content editor. It's overkill.
If the issue is that entities need to be intelligently encoded then let's solve that issue instead of introducing complexity.

I would like to be able to do things like place links, and put code in my comments, and I,m afraid my knowledge of HTML is dangerous. It would be preferable for me to be able to select link from a menu to place a link rather than me trying to fathom this HTMl stuff. A lot of people rely on CP, and me playing around with HTML could bring things crashing to a screaming halt in no time.

One of the main points of Quick Answers is to arrive at a good answer. If you find yourself needing to provide links or code, then I would guess that the best place to do this is in an actual answer - either a new one or by improving a current answer, or in the case of clarification to a question, by updating the question itself.
