No! I need to pass data from applet to a webpage (to html control) and not from page to applet. Or I need to make any change in webpage from applet that can be detected with a script.
So what I need is to make the webpage know when the applet finishes its function operations/work.

If the applet is signed I believe you can execute a javascript function from within the applet using the showDocument and provide it a link like:

That seems a fairly clear piece of advice. Unless you have the source code of the JVM I would suspect there is not much in the dump that will make a lot of sense.

Your runtime crashed. That's bad - really bad, not to say ugly.
Is it happening in a project you're working on? That's a really bad thing if this happens - you need to find the failure.
Somebody / something throws a RuntimeException[^].
You need to find the fail.

You are using the 32 bit VM.
The MOST likely cause of that problem is JNI code or a third party library that uses JNI code.
Probably 95% of all occurences is due to that.
Other than the next most likely cause is your environment. Something 'odd'. Such as some unusual firewall, patches, etc.

I want to make an applet to make a desktop short cut to a website. I was thinking have java execute a batch file that does the actual creation. I have no idea how to call the batch file. Any guidance would be appreciated!

You can override that using a signed applet, so I think that is ok but I need to figure out how to execute the code

Since you already mentioned signing the applet.
1. Figure out a command line tool that does this for you. This has nothing to do with java.
2. Use Runtime.exec or ProcessBuilder to run the command line.
3. Sign your applet.

GetWindowText() will return the title of a window, unless that window specifically returns other information on receipt of a WM_GETTEXt message. You cannot get the text at a particular mouse position unless the window itself has some mechanism for providing it. The characters displayed on the screen are merely coloured pixels and have no direct relationship to the actual characters; that information is held within the program that owns the window.

Unfortunately no, you would have to have some code to detect the boundaries of characters within the window and somehow figure out what they are. This is certainly not something that can be done easily, as you have no real points of reference, since the start and end points of each line of text may not necessarily even be shown on the screen, if the view has been scrolled in any direction.
It may be that you need to reconsider exactly what you are trying to do here.
