Web or desktop, it doesn't matter if you want to embed the text in the image itself.
Just create the image with the text written "on" it, then use that newly created image in the web page or return it to the browser in a stream if it was part of a separate request.

Perhaps there's a way with HTML5 ? And if not right now with all browsers, I'm sure in the future HTML5 will provide that functionality in their canvas tag.

Which webservice framework do you choice in java?
axis2? XFire?or the other one?
Which supports multi-language best? Why?
Is the webservice for delphi hard to connect the java program?

i recomend you use XML , remember with te XML you dont have worry about interop between the two systems, there some functions in www.codeproject.com to use with Java and Delphi

Cloud is indeed mostly marketing talk, but companies are now more actively and on the foreground developing stuff for it which is probably the major difference. Basically it was there also 4 years ago... So you are correct

This payment gateway page accepts the parameters as you can see them there, so i have Properties that has values [B]"After the Page load"[/B] so i cant get the values of the Query string before the page load. now the iframe will load with empty values, now i want to initialize the values before the iframe gets displayed
so my Page load will look like this

Hi,
I am working on my website and found it would be easier to have main hyperlinks on top of the page as drop down menus, the same as on this site, but not sure how to do that. I have previously used flash menus on some websites I have created but don't like those since search engines can't read flash. I already searched online but can't find an easy answer on how to do this.
How can I do this?

I found it by looking for CSS menus, btw. They're usually just order/unordered lists that have styles applied in such a way as to create a drop-down.

Hi All,
I am using ActiveXObject to launch a local machine program executable from a web page. The javascript code for this is as follows:
var shell = new ActiveXObject('wscript.shell');
shell.Run('myapp.exe');
The application runs fine. The application is a c# windows application that just runs some code then closes. I decided to add a NotifyIcon to the application so I could give the user some feedback on how things are going.
Generally, this works fine - If I launch the application manually from my machine, the process runs and the icons shows with notifications. However, if I run it from the web page (using the javascript), the code runs fine but no NotifyIcon and no Notifications.
Can anyway shed some light on why this is happening? I am, assuming that the ActiveX code is just launching the application like I would do manually - but there must be something different with how it runs that is causing the issue.

guys;
I use to style states of an element rule:stateName like
.commandbutton {}
.commandbutton:hover {}
but i have found in 'Ajax Control Toolkit 3.5' that they are using javascript events to change class name of the element in the different states.
what i don't understand is why should javascript events be better then element states?

They probably opted for the javascript way because not all elements support multiple states, eg: the hover state is only supported for A tags in some older browsers.
Javascript is supported in even the oldest browsers still being used, so its support is a bit wider spread.

Im tryng to replicate a website look to a ERP portal, and im having problems with the look of the font.
The css specification is exacly the same in the two websites.
font-family: Verdana, Arial;
font-weight: normal;
font-size: 12px;
Even using the same browser the font does not look the same; heres the picture of the current look:
top ( website) bottom ( ERP Portal ).

As you can probably see the shape looks the same , but the font itself seems to be a little darker in the website version , same is happening to pretty much every font definition in the website.
Would like any suggestion or ideia about the cause of this and how to solve it.

It's not easy to tell much about the CSS from an image, but it looks like the top text is antialiased and the bottom text isn't.

thanks for both answers that is just my problem
i just took a screenshot of the same word in both websites and one have grey pixels while the other either has black or white.
is there a way to force the font rendering to be the same?

In a PHP page that gets all the information from MySQL and using that information it mounts a string that at the end is echoed, I've seen that the process of mounting that string is really fast, but when the echo is called then it takes several time for IE to show something.
Arrived at the point of the echo call the circle that shows that IE is doing something (loading the page basically) stops rotating and disappears as it would have finished the job. And after a little while it shows all the content...
This is not a really big issue as that page is for internal help, but I would like to make it faster, keep the circle rotating or show some progress bar until everything is loaded properly...
What would you do?
