Says who? They are very flexible - it's this flexibility that makes it hard to use it. If you don't want to cope with that flexibility, then you should take a look at using SQL Server Reporting Services with Report Sharp Shooter[^] from Perpetuum Software.

I use SSRS and output to a new ASPX form for the report viewer. I looked at report sharpshooter but the demo would not install so it never really got past that point. It did seem a mite expensive for a viewer host.

I don't print only usual report which contain records(grid's rows) loaded from database but also custom page with some fields compiled by user and some field copiled with data looaded from db.

I think that would be even worse that the export to excel idea.
I was surprised and impressed that Perpentium followed up on my above comment, they obviously keep an watch on this forum and are interested in helping.

Everything is a workaround when it comes to Silverlight printing. I just happen to think Excel and PDF are probably the worst options of a particular bad lot. I'm reasonably happy with the SSRS and ASPX solution I have but it is still a kludge.

I created a RIA aplication (SL4) that populates a grid from an MSSQL 2008 DB.
App has been working fine.
My question is: If I make some changes to the table design (add new column or change the name of the column), what is the best way to refresh that connection without having to start from scratch (craete the app, create the ADO, create the domain services...)
any help is greatly appreciated

In your Entity model (edmx), there should be a context menu option "Update from database" - that shoud pick up your changes.
C# has already designed away most of the tedium of C++.

Am using this code and the problem is that, CPU usage is 100% when the dialog pops up for the user to confirm access to the web came and/or microphone. This happens with all browsers, you just leave the silverlight popup to wait and you can see the plugin to crash after some time.
But this is not a problem that occures only in browser enviropment, even if i run the application out of the box, with the slllauncher.exe, the same problem occures. 100% cpu usage and the dialog waits there. In browsers the dialog crashes cause of the plugin manager sees 100% cpu and thinks the silverlight plugin has crashed. Am using SL 4 with Visual studio 10, same thing happens in IE,FF4,FF3.5,Chrome.
This causes problems in PC's with windowsXp and with slow single core cpus, cause gets 100% and even the dialog freezes.

Someone know what is this dll file "Log4Net.dll" ???
In my SL project , itt is located in the " \bin\log4net.dll " folder on the server. If i delete this file, it will recreate automatically.
And is giving errors during compile.

If it's not in your project's references, then you're probably using a third-party library that uses it.
Maybe you should try to diagnose the bug instead of cutting out dependencies.

i tried to remove the crystal report references in my web.config file and havn't had problems.(no error in compile time and file isn't recreating after deleting it).
So it mean Crystal Report is using this Log4Net ???

Maybe... I don't know. But something you're referencing must be pulling in log4net, or it wouldn't be copying over.
Again, though... log4net generally works very well... Maybe you should try to track down the error instead of trying to wipe out the entire library.
