Yeah, CM already implemented the fix to remove the IMG tag.

He did it by hacking the feature out, not by reverting the change though. Previously it would put the (now missing) alt text into the message. While OMG wasn't as good as actually putting  into the text it's better than nothing.

I've improved the hack a little. It won't insert the correct sequence for all smileys (eg ![Sheep | [baah]](https://www.codeproject.com/script/Forums/Images/sheep.gif) ) but it will for the common smiley's ( ,  etc). For the remaining it will insert a descriptive text placeholder

I have noticed a bug in the styling for the quotes.
If the original text contains a strikeout then the strikeout is removed from the formatting.

As far as I know quoting a post just gives you the text and not the formatting itself. Sometimes when I quote a post with emotes, I don't get them in the quoted text unless I add them manually either.

I had drafted a reply to say "we do that because there's no way to get the actual HTML". But I was wrong.

I am a platinum debator and when I vote any post up then it is only giving 6 reputation points to the person whose post I am upvoting. Shouldn't it be 24 considering I am a platinum debator? Or is it based on some total reputation points.
I am not sure whether this is a bug or the feature.

This is looking to be a big problem now. I upvoted a person's post and he said he got 3 points when I'm a Gold Debator. I wonder if this bug happens only in General Indian Topics? Because I was upvoted earlier today in The Lounge by someone and it gave me 24 points.

How does he know the upvote was from you? We don't publish this information.
If you send me a link to the message I can look at his rep points and see what's happening.

Here[^] is such a post, when me and Nish were discussing the same issue. I gave a 5 on his post to test and he replied to me that it gave him 6 points.

The current logic in the system is:
A post in a non-programming forum gives you debator points.
Up-vote a non-programming forum message gives the voter organiser points and the votee participation points.
I'll change this so points are awarded as debator points.

I think this clarifies it. In this when I upvote someone in non programming forum then it will be bronze points only because I am bronze organizer.

I believed I always get debator points when someone upvoted my posts in non-programming forums, but then again you know much better than me.

Surely you mean Debator points? Take the message below 'cut & pasted' stright from my Rep Point table. It has always been Debator points. Hence why my Debator points are quite high in comparison to my Participation points.

Well actually I upvoted all good replies in one of my threads. The person asked me if I was the one who did it and gave me a 5 as well. That was when he noticed that he received less points.
