We're not touching IE9 issues until it's fully baked.
I'm not saying I don't trust Microsoft to make sudden, radical and breaking changes to the rendering or CSS models or anything. I never said that. Wouldn't dream of saying that.

I've noticed the same issues in Opera as well.
(Dont know about Firefox or Chrome though).
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

When it comes to the clipboard every browser is extremely unhappy.
In Opera's case I assume it's never had a large enough share of users on CP to justify Maunder bashing his head against it's miseries.

On the home page I see articles and tips/tricks needing approval:

When I click an article, I go to it and see the button "Make Article Publicly Available."
When I click a tip/trick, I go to it and it's already published.

Further to Hans suggestions;
1) xx Points for an article making it into a monthly survey
2) xx Points for each votes the article receives during said survey.
I don't know what xx would apply, but just think that when the articles make it to these survey they should be recognized, as they often receive more votes during the survey than they do as articles standing on their own.

I too agree on these two points - both are measurable and should be considered and taken into consideration.

In keeping with the spirit of point snagging, I offer these suggestions:
1. Add 5 points each time an article's download is downloaded.
2. Add 5 points (to usual points) for each article submitted that has an embedded link, on the theory that links = depth = goodness. Add 10 points if there is a CodeProject link.
3. Add 10 points each time an article is listed as "Featured Article" on front page.
4. Add 50 points each time an article is linked to from another site (this probably means the author will have to be proactive about reporting such links).
5. Add 1 point for each image that the article displays (images = pretty = goodness).
6. CP admins publish a "wish list" of topics they'd like to see articles written about. Add 50 points for each such written article (in addition to usual points).
7. Add 50 points each time an article is updated.

I'd say 10 points or more. Or maybe 1 point per 10,000 pixels.

I must have VB selected as preferences, and although VB doesn't have to be the default, some default must be set to see this bug. Type in some search criteria that, when you bypass the default preferences and choose All Roles, the search criteria will return more than one page of results. When a subsequent page number is clicked (or the next or previous page links are clicked), the default role will be restored. In my case, having VB preselected as the role, and searching for VPN under all roles, I have five pages of results but can not view any but the first page. When I select any page other than the first displayed result, the VB role is re-applied, reducing the results to none. When I reapply the All Roles rule, it returns me to page one of the results, and I'm stuck with no way to view any of the other results.

Found a work-around. Apparently, any role specified will be remembered, whereas the All Roles (which is blank), will not. So, select advanced search and choose all three Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. This should cover all articles, but does not, so this is an incomplete work-around, but four out of five (pages) ain't bad.

How many times do you have to be told not to do any rendering by yourself. You've got to remember to leave that to the browser. If everybody was to do his/her own rendering there would be way to many incompatiblity issues.

Degraussing hasn't been documented yet in Wikipedia[^]. Seems not to work for everyone yet.
