But that's what I was talkiing about a few days ago. Editing is editing, whether the article is approved or not. I still put in the time (15 minutes in this case).

Yep, I agree - approved or not, one should get points if edited.
I just hope that 10% cap was not in affect that denied you points. Any idea, how that is taken into consideration?

After reputation history in place, I think one can also follow on hourly/daily basis and that would be more than enough to catch issues with rep, if any!
Further, Rep-history is a new thing, and as we know, human beings in general, tend to use new stuff more.
Also, currently, Rep thing is still going on and not stable/full-proof  ... thus, few (including me) surely does check for discrepencies to report.

Points are awarded when the article is made available.
Again, this is an anti-gaming thing, and I know the answer is "ditch the restriction for Platinum". Doing so would complicate our code to the point of severe pain. I will, however, flag it to see if we can do it in a reasonable way

I'm new to this site. I was reading this article[^], where the author has attached a zip-file containing a dll. But I can't find any way to download the zip-file. Can anyone tell me how to download it?

On IE => Right Click - 'Save Target As'
On Chrome => Just Click on it.

I'm not sure why, but you are correct that there is no link for the .dll file.
However, log4net happens to be available all over the place. You can download log4net from here.

Thanks for looking into this. The dll attached to the article is a modified version of log4net to solve a particular problem. The article describes how to build this modified version.
At first I could not follow this process myself since I could not access the sources from withing our corporate lan. But in the mean time I was able to grab the sources so I now succeeded in building the dll myself.
It might still be useful to have the link fixed though. This is certainly something other people could use.

Now, OK, I can survive the -50. It's but a scratch.
But what nwesletter did I opt out of? I did browse my settings around that time.
Maybe it's a glitch that's related to me not receiving the insider newsletter for ages (if that still exists).

this site is acting weird for a couple of hours already.
1. first I noticed the alpha thingy I am testing suddenly got much worse; I reported the details you know where.
2. then there is a mix-up in the C# forum; I reported in S&B below.
3. now my rep history's first page shows 20 items spanning more than 8 months (I typically do 20 actions an hour).
Has the server room been flooded? did the hamsters get wet and turn into gremlins?
Help!

OK,
#3 is half resolved. My normal account occasionally gets switched to my spare account, not sure how or why, I seldom log out, and haven't today AFAICR. It happened again, I did not notice (see memberID). For the first time ever, I now have two tabs in FF, both logged in with different accounts, never seen that before.
Two and a half mysteries left.
