There is source code which insert person infomation to List<string>.
After below code, middleCategory_list have 200 subitems.
and have 20 people infomation.

I want to convert this to DataSet.

List<string> middleCategory_list.Add= List<string>();

middleCategory_list.Add(cate_big_La);
middleCategory_list.Add(cate_middlecode);
middleCategory_list.Add(cate_middlename);
middleCategory_list.Add(cate_order);
middleCategory_list.Add(cate_yes);

DataSet ds = new DataSet();
string tableName = "Table2";
ds.Tables.Add(tableName);

ds.Tables[tableName].Columns.Add("big");
ds.Tables[tableName].Columns.Add("middlecode");
ds.Tables[tableName].Columns.Add("middlename");
ds.Tables[tableName].Columns.Add("order");
ds.Tables[tableName].Columns.Add("yesno");

If you are guaranteed to always have all five columns of information in order then it would be something like this

for(int x = 0; x < middleCategory.Count; x += 5)
{
  DataRow row = ds.Table[0].NewRow;
  row[0] = middleCategory[x];
  row[1] = middleCategory[x+1];
  row[2] = middleCategory[x+2];
  row[3] = middleCategory[x+3];
  row[4] = middleCategory[x+4];

  ds.Table[0].Add(row);
}

Notice the use of code block to format the code snippet

Hi All,

I have a ASP.Net Web Application which sends status messages to another JSP or some other web application throgh a WCF service hosted in my IIS 7.0. Normally it is sending the messages. But some times it may fail, so I want to re-send the failed status messages. So can anybody help me which approach is the best fit for this requirement?
I am confused about the approach, like whether should I use a database table to keep the failed records and activate it through the Windows service?
Or should I put the failed records in XML or Log files and read it from there resend it? Is there any other effient way than implementing Windows service?

Which is the best one please help me in finding the good option, for performance of the application and implementation?

It looks like you are trying to implement a guaranteed delivery mechanism for messages. If you want to build your own, you could implement it as a database message queue and have a separate process handle the delivery of the messages. You have all kinds of flexibility (and complexity) by implemeting it as a database table, but it is really up to you to decide how to implement it.

Issue: I need to prevent cross site scripting

Current Solution:
1. Create a token based on session id and time in the Global Session Start method.
2. Store token in hidden form variable on every page load.
3. On submission, compare form variable with session token.

Question: What is the proper way to implement my solution? This has to be wrong. I can not see in anyway how this would prevent CSS. Under no circumstances would the form variable differ from the session variable.

Only if the OP is using .NET 1.1. On any other versions, a generic list would be better.

Hi,

I tried with "SqlTransaction" for multiple users inserting record at same time in my sample application ,
it is working fine in my sample application,It is not working in my Project ,
this project has one dynamic page in this page has 5 dynamic textboxes and 2 dropdown lists these controls i created in Page_PreInit and
i need to save these controls data in database sqlserver 2005 ,
data saving properly in my system with vs2008,i created virtual directory for my project then we are trying
to insert record then it inserting records is done successfully but data is not correctly inserted (data is been swapped between two user or more)

I guess you may be using some global state. Are you using static (shared in VB) variables?

Multiple users accessing same dynamic page ,if two users trying to insert on same page and same table
, it is inserting two records but first record or second might be getting null values in all columns in table.
please suggest me better way.
