This zennie[^] member does not post constructive criticism about my XML article[^] except for 1 post about the mistake in the code example. He attacked my C++ knowledge without a valid basis (I have been professionally programming in C++ since 2003). He also verbally attacked people who vote 5 for the article. He also vote down the comments which he does not like: if he does not like the comments, he can reply constructively to refute them, there is no need to vote down the comments. And he kept coming back to attack me which I cannot ignore!
Please do something about him.

This "zennie" is most likely a sock puppet account. They have hardly no rep points and they have been with CP for more than 2 years.

Actually, as much as you dislike the 1 vote, at least he has posted his "justification" for the vote. Whether you agree with him or not, he is entitled to his opinion. I have had univoters who've given me grief, and I've had to take it when they are justified in their own mind. All you can do, sadly, is take it on the chin, as the user hasn't violated any of the site rules.

He actually did justify his vote - I happen to think a 1 was a pretty harsh given the overall complexity and presentation of the article.
As for blindly voting 5 on some articles, many folks here do it, but that's because they simply don't have time to test the code for their own edification. I don't generally vote an article unless it's presentation is very poor, or unless I actually use the code.

I've already told you once - many times there is NO reason for doing it. At least he told you your code sucked, and why it sucked (in his eyes). My last 1-vote simply had the letter "m" attached, and despite asking for more info, the person never did respond.

As was mentioned by others in this thread, he did actually put down a justification of his vote and that is his privilege on this site and I personally wouldn't want it any other way.
I posted to him, however, that he seems to have spent an inordinate amount of time slamming you on this article and that instead of that, if he is such an expert, he should write a better article himself.
Apparently, this twat figured that this was deserving of a univotr as well.

I sometimes will copy and paste text into the notes for a task. From the text, I often find myself copying portions of the notes, then changing to the task list window, then pasting as a sub-task. I was wondering how difficult it would be to add a right-click to selected text with an option to add as a sub-task to the the task of which the notes were held.
Would be a very handy tool and beat copying and pasting even using shortcuts.

This forum is to report bugs/suggestions related specifically to the Code Project websites, not to the applications in the articles it hosts. If you want to comment on an article, post a message at the bottom of the article, not in this forum.

Hy all!
This is my problem: i like to read the news that codeproject sends every day but sometimes they don't get send. Or at least I don't receive them. I could come here on the site and read them in the news section but i just forget to do so. My email address is an yahoo address and they don't show up in spam or something like that.
Any ideas on this?

Have you checked your spam folders? Have you tried adding us to your whitelist?

this usually happens on our 2nd oldest server after a code update. It's old, ceaky, needs RAM and is about to be retired.
Ignore it's grumpy old ramblings.

I'd like to see something similar for CP.
And of particular interest to me as an author here is if you could determine if at least 90% or more of visitors are on resolutions 1024 or wider. If so you could change the max allowed width of articles/screenshots from 800 (600 actually because of the side banners) to 1024. I think that would certainly make it easier for authors as well as readers.
