I am developing smart device application using .net 3.5,
I have problem when adding menu to form,when I run the application
shortcut added for each menu item
for example
MnueItem1 -(A)
MnueItem2 -(B)
MnueItem3 -(C)

try to add sub menu to this mainMenu1
private System.Windows.Forms.MenuItem menuItem1;
menu item text is "RunApp" do whatever event
when I run the application in windows mobile Prof 6.1
menu item test text display "RunApp (A)"

That's being done automatically by the operating system. On phones with no dial pad that won't occur. There's no need for you to worry about that. It will come and go as needed.

Hi,
I want code a call diversion with Visual Studio 2005 and Compact Framework, I use htc Touch Hd2.
Manually I can make a call diversion call (for example to the number 334232) with the following number entered: *21*334232#
All calls are redirected to number 334232.
When I want to turn off the call diversion I call number #21#
after this the call diversion is off.
But when I try a call diversion with visual studio,
here my code:
Microsoft.WindowsMobile.Telephony.Phone anruf;
anruf = new Microsoft.WindowsMobile.Telephony.Phone();
anruf.Talk("*21*334232#");
I become an error which reads: "Your number is not correct or your line is interrupted..."
My questions are:
How can I make a call diversion with visual studio 2005 and c# ????

hai all,
How to find a duplicate record in list view...using C# for smartdevices...
Am reading a no's of records from outside...
If the record's is already present in my listview, just increment a count for particular record’s don’t want add it again. (avoid the duplication but keep on counting)
How should I proceed…

put a loop and over listview items. then you can start counting duplicate items right ? is that complex ?

The list of items is more, if i using a loop its eating a time...
and also am read the data continuously, it may be the same item…
am using 3 columns
1. No’s of items
2. items id
3. repeated count of same items…
so each items have its own count… if detected the same item just increment the count.
plz tell me any other way..

ok , in that case say you have an array of items , ITEM[] MyItems,
for each item in the list you can count the frequency , like MyItems[itemid].freq++;
in the next loop u can check for items whose freq is > 1 then,thats it
You canfind the duplicate record in O(n) time complexity.

I am working on a sample code in Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 to capture the image of a finger print. Therefore, Assumably one puts on his pointing finger on the white screen and the code should read the tapped points on the screen and color them. I thought is should be possible
to capture it. However I have no idea which API to use for this purpose and how to use it.
If you know how to do it, would you please let me know.

Hello,
I want to develop iPhone application should have the ability to count the number of phrases that are received when user sing on mic. This application should also have the ability to decipher whether the users phrases are in or out of cadence with a preset beat.When user sing on mic Instrumental music only play.
So I have to merge the User Recorded voice with Instrumental music this is one Audio file.Already i have on original Song file.I have to compare both and give the Rating to users.
[Note: Instrumental music is without vocal of Original Song file]
Can you please help me?.

I think ESN is same as IMEI in GSM. You can either use the same code to check whether you get any data on IMEI data member and useit as ESN. Or If you want an application sepcific unique identifier for your mobile device , use GetDeviceUniqueID

Please help i try to use sample CameraCapture from wm6 sdk, everything is ok when i take first a foto amd it save to file, but when a try to take two and more fotos, they are the same as the first (i save each to another file), could you help me and say what could be wrong ?

i meet a trouble while i caliberting the ARM/WinCE5 touch screen.
after i clicked the calibration button in the control pannel dialog, the screen flashed, then restored, and i cannot calibrate.
i searched the web, and i found the next:

Make sure it is checked and select “OKâ€.
This puts a copy of TouchCalibrate in the directory "calibrui" in your

I had wrote a program which can Voice out the caller number while incomming ringing.,Within the Program it can mute the internal ringer and speak out the number from speaker, but the speaker volume just half of the full volume, although i had set it full.Is there any method to remove the attenuation with speaker while ringing ? Iam Using WM 6.5.3
I also find that if i disable the detection of ringing (drop or answer),and the speaker will continue to voice out number repeatly at 50% volume. If caller drop the line at that monemt my device voice out number's volume will return to 100%.
So i think it is the setting of Ring to attenuate the speaker's volume,but i can't find the exact location at registry to disable the attenuation of the speaker !!
So anyone have the experience to handle the case, please help!!!

Hello
I have an application which is currently running on Windows mobile (up to version 6.5) written in cf.net.
The project uses a SQLite Database - but could be made to 100% live data rather than locally stored.
I need to expand the application by making it available to other mobile devices (iPhone, Android, Mobile 7)
I know there are solutions for each of these, but I would like to rewrite it as few times a possible to try and help code maintainability / time and money.
I've tried HTML5 - which works well, but not on mobile 7!
Considered silver light - but again that limits it to mobile 7.
Have looked at the mono project - but not made the jump yet (requires a mac - last time I really read it)
So what have you used / are using.
I know there is no golden project, but just curious to see if I have missed anything.
The last resort is for me to create a standard .net website which mobile users use. At least I know that is 99% going to work every where.
