After working on my final project for school late last night, I woke to find the debugger gremlins had come. When I try to debug my project (F5) MS VC# hangs. The task manager show a process for my app was created, but the app never shows up as a task. I tried deleting the debug directory and doing a rebuild, no luck! If I execute without the debugger (ctrl+F5), either in release or debug build, the app runs. Sounds like a real world release nightmare If anyone has ideas, please please let me know. Johnson 15-Dec-02 2:49  First get to the same directory your source code is located in then use the sn tool like so sn -k mykey.snk Now find the AssemblyInfo.cs or .h/.cpp file and find where it says In C#: [assembly:KeyFile("")] In C++: [assembly:KeyFileAttribute("")] Change the values of each to point to the mykey.snk file. In C#: [assembly:KeyFile(@"..\..\mykey.snk")] In C++: [assembly:KeyFileAttribute("mykey.snk")] Now you should have a strongly named assembly. The down side is that you need to do this to all assemblies your code references (excluding the ones that come with .NET). Maybe the stream need to have read rights as well or you perhaps dont have write access to the disk. I am loading the image into the picturebox from a JPG file in my desktop. And the program does create a 0 byte file, when I try to save it. Then it crashes. Specifying the fileaccess as FileAccess.ReadWrite doesn't stop the error. What is 24bppRGB format ? The way I was loading the picture into the picturebox was not perfect. I think that corrupted the image format. I fixed the issue. Thanks. If I use an HTML button, it shows up fine. Both appear to be server side controls (both have runat="server". What's the difference between Web Form controls and HTML controls? There can be many reasons, be a bit more specific. Maybe you are not running fast enough WebControls are server-side controls that normally will do some processing where HTML controls are basically literal controls. Both have a runat=server attribute, although its not required for HTML controls, but they are there so a literal control can "controlled" referenced from the server-side. On the grid that's displayed, drop a web form button onto the grid from the toolbox...compile, then execute and the button doesn't show. Only labels show up. I have a feeling it's something silly that I'm just not aware of. It's been frustrating to track down why I don't see what I expect. The program works and all but is set up too only encrypt one file at a time. im trying to find a way to encrypt a hole folder just by typing the directey i.e "C:\\my folder". I have just started programming...in c#(or any lauguage for that matter) so i need help with this perticular subject. I have been going at this a diffrent way (allowing the user to selected a file and writing the FileName to a listbox..then pulling the files off the list box 1 by 1 to be encrypted). please help me if you can. Then just setup a recursive function to "crawl" all the subdirectories. There is an recursive example on MSDN at this topic. If you're writing an application in C#, this is typically controlled with the Cursor.Current static property (in System.Windows.Forms). I'm using the VB type lib but obviously there are functions not available in C# like D3DVertexBuffer8SetData, that replaces the above C++ code in VB. While this exercise might be a little unpractical it actually helps me better understand the difference between managed and unmanaged . Any ideas how to set up and run DX8 in C# (is it possible at all; is it possible to do it in a' managed' way)? Thank you Z.
