We are developing a social networking website for some clients.
Basic website xnetwork
And we are having ynetwork, znetwork same as xnetwork.
But still the developing is going on with xnetwork.. Each and every change done in xnetwork has to be updated with ynetwork and znetwork... My question is "Is there any way to handle it without manual work"

Unfortunately, it depeds on how you designed your website. e.g if you want these sites to share a Data Layer , what you can do is that create a Data Layer and a Business logic layer as DLL's at the end when you deploy you will not need to do anything but deploy the dll's and nothing else. So i am not sure what part of your website is a maintanance nightmare , but what you are experiencing means that its time to componetise your functionalities in your website.

You probably should just start using resx files. That will handle changing of images and labels. If you actually have different pages, or different functionality on the same page in different sites, then it gets much more complicated.

how to trigger enter key in gridview column?

formula:
column1 * column2 = column3
when i press enter key in column2 after i input number ,
it will automatically update the column3 for result
and refresh the gridview. how to do that?

This is a ridiculous question: if you want to create a social networking site you're going to have to a) learn to program and b) figure out how to design an application that does what you want and c) dlearn how to research and use google. Just like the rest of us only you seem to want to cut out the years of hard work and learning that we all put in.

I may just be mean-spirited, but I really want to ridicule this question. I appreciate that you are new to asp.net, but just think a little bit. Who on earth would post a tutorial on building a complete social networking site. Anyone who would take the time to do that would simply build the site and call it "facebook" or "myspace" or "mySuperDuperOverDoneIdeaSpace".

Hi All,
Here i have 3 rows in my table with the follwing data with 3colums(WatchUrl,SheduleType,Time)

http://www.xxx.com/abc/Histroy.html Every week 2
What i have to do is to create a window service that call the webservice by pasing the url.the webservie will download the page content and compare it with previous content if it differs i have to notify it to the user,that new content is added.i did everyting and its working fine .But i dont know how to shedule the timing using timer to call the window service at regular interval.
Here for 1st row i have to call the window service everyday in 30 min interval
for 2nd row everyday in1 hour interval and for 3rd everyweek in 2 hour interval
here i dont know how to mange multiple timers and maitain there individulal states to call the service.
Please Any help or reference would be appreciated.

One method would be to add a column to your table like, "Next Update DateTime".
Your service would do something like this:
1)Read a row from the table.
2)Call the webservice, do your compare, etc, take the current datetime and add the ScheduleType+Time and set the "Next Update DateTime" to that value.
3) Wait 5 min
4) Loop through the table to see if the "Next Update dateTime" has been reached, if so do your update thing.
That is a very basic idea. As you add rows to the table, you don't have to change your core logic. It may not be the best solution, but it is straight forward.

YES : Because all the configuration settings will be available under MACHINE.CONFIG file, by default these settings will be applied to all asp.net applications. The MACHINE.CONFIG file will be automitacally loaded when .net framework is installed.
