I am sure this used to work with Google Chrome, but it doesn't seem to work now:
Paste in "<hello>" with "Encode..." unchecked gives <hello> which I would expect.
Paste in "<hello>" with "Encode..." checked also gives <hello> when I would expect <hello>"

You know: I'm not sure this *ever* worked with WebKit browsers. I'll post a bug entry to get this fixed.
The issue is clipboard functionality is a complete dog's breakfast when it comes to browsers. IE - the most rabidly security connscious annoying browser of all time is the only one that really provides simple clipboard APIs. The others require soom hoop jumping. In Firefoxs case cas it's because of security. I could do without the irony.

When I submit an answer, I get a message saying the site tried three times to add my response. If I refresh the page, my response has, in fact, been submitted and appears as expected.

My unfamiliarity with the Q&A section has led me to this pondering which might be cleared up if I just wait long enough:
When a response has been proposed to your question, the page shows you a big button you can click to "Accept This Answer". That's a nice way to acknowledge that your question was indeed answered. But what if the proposed answer is actually not the answer? Does this button eventually go away or does it hang around forever, leaving other readers wondering if the answer was right, wrong, or ignored? Is there a shortcut way to mark the response with an indication of "Thanks, but that doesn't solve the problem"? (I believe the Comment option could be appropriate for that, but I nearly missed seeing it altogether, and the Accept button remains even after adding such a comment.)

Interesting.
One option is to have it so that if you've voted or accepted then the button never shows. However, what if you hit the button accidentally? Or hit it, then read a subsequent answer, and realise the previous answer was actually wrong? For this the button will always need to be visible

Q. The colors of the names of CP members displayed in forums.
Are gray and red the only reserved ones for low rated and high rated respectively? Also, why do some appear in bold; are those formatted by the members to look so?

Could there be a small text displaying the break up of the votes, only to the poster and not others (I suspect others' voting might get influenced), that shows how many 1's 2's etc have they received? Its hard to do the math every time and boring as w(h)ell.

Red and Grey are used to confer voting indication, and are done so on the thread name and on the user name but only if the user has not set his colour. ie If a user sets his User Name colour to, say, Green, it will remain green regardless of votes.
Similarly the Bold is set by the user too.

True but bold is set by the voting as well
Red (good votes) will put the user name in bold.
Side note:
The grey threshold is determent by the 'noise' level drop down on the forums
