Hi guys,
I want to display date and time if I update my website in server(if i insert/update a row in particualar tables) . How to do it in asp.net with sql server database

better to create a Log table. and display last update from Log Table.

If you add a "Modifydate" column to your table, then each time you update a row in the table, set the ModifyDate to the CurrentDate-Time. You can then issue a select max(ModifyDate) on that table to display the latest update date on your web page.

Please follow the below db statement.
SELECT OBJECT_NAME(OBJECT_ID) AS DatabaseName, last_user_update,*
FROM sys.dm_db_index_usage_stats
WHERE database_id = DB_ID( 'Your DB Name')
AND OBJECT_ID=OBJECT_ID('Your Table Name').
It'll show you last modified DateTime for a particular table in a particular DB. U can remove where condition to view all the records from all the DB tables.

Start working with scriptmanager and updatepanel controls for starters. Also try to improve your javascript (as AJAX is really almost nothing more than cool javascript) , and experiment with third party libraries. And actually you may find some articles here on CP[^] about asp.net and AJAX  Good luck.

I have been trying to show the image in simple Image. I have my code like this:
Image1.ImageUrl = "J:\\hint\\edit-handout-01.jpg";
but the image is not displaying.

To display an image the location must be accessible to ASP.NET. That usually means placing the images in a folder under the webapplication. Otherwise you need to modify the rights to j:\Hint so the asp_net user has access to it, which isn't the best practice.

Image1.ImageUrl=Server.MapPath("images/yourimage.jpg");
Server.MapPath return root path.
when your project on web, the image path of your image controls shows like <img src="images/yourimage.jpg"/>

so that means it doesn't matter where ever i put my project right. it will automatically take the server path so that i do not need to change the path again and again right.

Hey,
Well i did
fleUpload.SaveAs(Server.MapPath("hint\\" + fleUpload.FileName)); to save the image and it worked perfectly fine.
But I am trying to show the image from that server and for that i did
Image1.ImageUrl = (Server.MapPath("hint\\" + fleUpload.FileName));
The problem is it is not throwing any error but it is not showing the image in the Image1 either. What can be the reason for this and how to get the image ?

i create dynamic checkboxes in coloum of table(<td id="trial" runat="server"></td>) from selecting quantity from dropdwonlist.
well creating dynmic checkbox is not an issue..
well the issue is tht i am not able to check whether the Checkboxes is checked or not on a Button click....

i realize when page get posts check box not generating dynamically
so try to re generate the dynamic check boxes in your save click, sorry if i am wrong
