In my webproject, i like to search a things based on a keyword...,
i.e if i type a word "hi world" wht are the places the word occured in my site it has to show...,
this kind of option i like to give it to my end-user...,

You can implement google search on your individual website.
If your website is an intranet website and not connected to internet, your search logic will completly depend on the way you have created your website (To makie things simple).

Dear Friends,
When ever i login to my asp.net web application it create one session id where i stored some imp info for my application, but i want to provide it more security so need to destroyed application created session and want to create my own session id...
So please help me for this, provide me some white paper or some good link

Session is to store info temporarily. Data in Session is in the server and is protected.
so, what kind of security you want to implement?
I would suggest clear the session data as soon as your job is over.

Actually main thing is that the application is creating his own session id but the best practice for secure application i need to clear the application created session and want to create my own with some business logic so that there is no worry about hacking of the data which is very imp for my application..

Session Id is secured enough and you don't need to worry about them.

in asp.net, I have opened modal pop using jquery with login form and after logged in I'm displaying data in modal popup itself but I want to display username and Logout link in parent page which content is disabled when modal popup is opened.
when i use below code to refresh parent page:
window.parent.location.reload();
it refreshes parent page and in parent page username logout link also displayed which is managed by user control.
but I want that:
modal popup should not be closed and paraent page should be refreshed without looking like server trip.

Why not do it using JavaScript/jQuery?
Google for: updating Parent page control from child page...
You can also trigger an async parent page button to update it partially.

I have a webdayview control (proprietary Infragistics ASP.net control) on my page. On the aspx source I’ve inserted some javascript (webdayview_click) that calls a webmethod in the codebehind. This seems to work fine, but when I insert this webdayview control into a user control and move the corresponding javascript into the aspx of the user control, it doesn’t work. I can’t even insert a breakpoint into the javascript function to debug it. Is there a way to make it work? I want to enable the click event of the webdayview control so that when I click on it, the javascript function calls the webmethod. Here’s my code (remember it's in a user control):

This means you have not taken care of the control names in Javascript. Once you put the control in a user control, a string would append at the start of your control name. This new ID which can be found out easily using a ViewSource of your webpage, must be used in Javascript to access it.

Why so? You can put "debugger;" at the start of function and enable Javascript debugging in your IE settings! You are all set to debug it now.

Hello,
I am using an ASP TextBox control on my Web form, as shown below. Surprisingly, it suddenly started ignoring the text typed in the box, showing only zero-length string "" in the C# debug mode.

To diagnose the problem, I defined a second textbox control, by dragging and dropping the control from the ASP Toolbox. This second one works fine. Any clues please?

If so, then there is something in your code related to first textbox that creates an issue. You need to look at the code base, debug it and find.
For now, if you can replace it with new one, go ahead and save your time.

You were both right. Stupid me! I did not verify the event-firing after my code was integrated with others'. Page_Load and IsPostBack were not correctly figuredout when my original code was integrated with the team's. And I was lazy to figure this out myself.
