currently i m using asp.net 2005 with c# (framework 2.0). i want to restrict the user to click the save button twice or more than that. Using ajax, i implemented it

the above block will disable the button. its working fine. but i used few validation controls (ajaxToolkit:ValidatorCalloutExtender).
when i click the button the validation pop-ups and also button getting disable. please help me. - KARAN

also the same i would like to apply for an dropdownlist. because according to the selection of dropdown value, i m changing the button textvalue. according to the text value i m calling different functions.so when user select the dropdownlist item, it take some time. during that time, user should not click the button obviously.
so i want to disable the button while user selecting item from dropdownlist until the text changes.
how to achieve it? help me - KARAN

From Your code it looks like you are login from other side,
What you need to do is when you login successfully you need to set session values,
And when you go to other page check this value so you will not log out.
hint is when you sent login successfully response from other site, send some values like 'userid',
and set this id session value.

I am using AJAX TabContainer control with following settings. When I change a tab the postback happens and whole page refreshes. Because AutoPostBack="true"> . To AJAxify the behavior, I added UpdatePanel around it but still the page is refreshing. The control need to go to server because user controls contains some grids which need to be populated.

I have two user controls on one aspx page. UC1 has a grid which contains a link button column which user clicks. Based on the value of clicked cell, I need to show some data into UC2.
1. How do I pass data from UC1 to UC2?
2. How do I invoke a function of UC2 from UC1?

You can make use of Session or Delegates here.

If it is a method needed by both the user controls, place it in a separate class and have it public/internal. Then call it from both the user controls.

From what I understand when you create an HttpModule you can register only the events you want the HttpModule to handle.
However, aren't HttpModules designed to run for all pages and you have to register it in Web.config?
If I wanted to create a service (class) that would use event chaining on the PreRender/Render event for a *given page* what would be the recommended design for this?
I'm guessing just a simple class that is bound by a delegate for the PreRender/Render event right? Are there any recommended base classes/interfaces I should inherit for this design?

OK - So I can do this in MyPage.aspx
this.PreRender += new EventHandler(_MyPage_PreRender);
But what I'd like to do is chain the event handler to a different class.
For example:
this.PreRender += MyComponent.PreRender
or even better:
this.PreRender += MyComponent.MyCustomMethod
So can I chain directly to a method in another class? If so then will you please provide some code to show me how to do this?

"Some help" and "give me sample application" are very different things. If you have absolutely no idea how to even start without someone handing you code, then you shouldn't try to develop this yourself. There are plenty of forums apps you could download.
