i am using masked edit extender and modal pop up extender controls .it wrks fine . now i need use a user control in the same page. the problem is ,after i added user control , the ajax extender controls doesn't work .however no error occurs when i browse the page.
please anybody help me .

This shouldnt be a problem. Can you post the code of your page maybe? Exclude unnecessary parts.
Maybe there is some mixup with the tagnames/tagprefixes in the registration part of this controls
in your page?

Hi.
I would like to start a timer in my asp.net application, which starts when the page loads, or a button is pushed or whatever.
The timer should then be triggered once every day. Even if no clients/browsers are connected to the server. The idea is that the server should spit out an e-mail every day.
Is this possible? And how is it possible?

When the page loads or any event occured of your application then take current date and time store it in your database. Then after 24 hrs you can send email.

if your site is hosted on server then you can create window service
and
If your database and site hosted on same server and if you have access of SA of site then you can run sql job as well for this.

Could not understand what actually you require.
But as I understood, whenever your application starts or accessed or whatever event as per your requirement, make some entry in database then you can create a console application which checkes the DB and read the entries and accordingly can send the mail. And then you need to schedule this exe file using windows schedular on daily.
So you exe will run daily and will be checking the db and accordingly will send the mail..

I forgot to say, that my application will run on my webhost, and therefore not on my own asp.net server.
So I guess the windows scheduler solution cant solve my problem

Why?
You just make some entry in database according to your requirement to send the mail.
Create new console application which reads the databse and send the mail accordingly.
Now schedule it with windows schedular on daily basis. you exe will run and checks the DB and send the mail accordingly..
I have implemented this kind of functionality..

Where would that console application be running from? I most likely cannot execute it on my webhost.
If I execute it locally, it would require that my "home computer" would be turned on, and thats not the solution I am looking for.
So every functionality should be going on in an application on my webhost.

Write a Windows Service not a console application...

You need to run it on your webserver/database server or on some machine that is tha is always running and have access to database to read the information.

what is ur webhost is it a server. Then i m sure u can create a Windows service.........

What he means is, its a paid for web host, not his own server, and I wouldn't expect them to allow windows services to be installed by anyone, hence the problem.

I am new to .net developement..stuck with an issue..
I have 2 grids in a page...Maingrid( key:- EmpID) and a Childgrid (key:- EmpID,PeriodID)
For Each Maingrid details there will be one or more corresponding Childgrid details. When user selects a Maingrid detail record (ie, when selecting a row), corresponding Childgrid detail will be loaded in the Childgrid …(same as dependent grid.)
How to load the 2nd grid according to the 1st grid row selection?

In this example it shows gris in a row..but in my scenario, two different grids are there.I dont know how to bind data in to the 2nd grid according to the row selection of the first grid..

I dont have much idea about telerik grid.
But in rdg_Maingrid_ItemCommand1 event you can find the row of main grid and accordingly you can fetch the record and bind it in child grid.

Hi.
I have a detailsview with a checkbox. This checkbox´s state should be determined from a ObjectDataSource which "fills" the detailsview. And, if the checkbox´s state is changed by the user, the ObjectDataSource´s UpdateMethod should of course save this new state.
Problem is, that i dont know how to bind this checfield, since the 'Checked' attribute only takes true/false, and my data is in xml. Therefore i only have "true"/"false" data as strings.
So how do i bind this checkbox state? And save the new state when the user changes it?
