As you say "your exams" not ours. Why should other people do your work so that you can pass exams, as your qualification will be worthless. If you don't understand the question then maybe you are on the wrong course.

Stop posting your homework questions.
We do not do homework, we help people who are stuck with specific problems.
You will not pass the course if we do the work, so if you want to be a developer you must knuckle down and do the work yourself.
If, having tried and run into a specific problem, then post, and people will be pleased to help, that's how it works.
But to just say 'Here is my homework, do it for me' indicates you are not going to learn, you are not interested in passing the course and that programming is not for you.
Have you even bothered to attempt the answers?
Now either try to do your own work, or consider a change of career, something clerical perhaps, of something manual, like gardening.

You didn't ask a questiont hat could be answered. All you did was copy and post your homework assignment. Noone here is going to write it for you, period. You won't learn anything and you definitely are not going to pass your exams if someone else writes it for you.
If you've got specific questions on what you're having trouble with, great. Post them with all the relevant details and code you've written. If you're looking for someone to do your work for you, you've come to the wrong site.

Well, what a suprise. How long have you known when your exams are? Anyway, if I write it for you (its a pretty trivial program after all) can I have your degree and wages for the next few years, because I will have earned them, you won't.
Anyway, at least I hope you fail your exams as then I won't have to worry about fixing your crap over the next few years.

Answer to what? You haven't asked a question, not have to demonstrated that you actually attempted to write the program, nor have to pointed out what you're having a problem with. Just posting your homework assignment specifications does not consititute a question.

The DataGridView does not have that capability, you would have to paint the control yourself.
I found this control : SourceGrid[]
Maybe look into that?

Like told already, DataGridView doesn't support that. You need to use a third party control or handle the paint.
Here's an example that uses a richtextbox to simulate a cell: MergedDataGridView Control

I have a small issue with a bound data grid view. Let me try to explain as best I can.
To add a row in a data grid view you simply click on the bottom row of the grid, this header row icon changes from * to >* to show you are adding a new row. As soon as you edit any of the cells in the row the icon changes to a pencil and a new blank row appears underneath. To save the changes to the row you are adding (not to the SQL database just to the data grid), you simply hit return or select the new blank row underneath. To cancel your changes hit escape.
The problem I have is that I am setting the default values of all cells when a new row is added. These default values in most cases will be correct. But for the user to be able to commit the row they have to edit one of the cells (so that the pencil icon appears), then either hit return or select the new row.
What I am trying to do when the user clicks a new row is to set the default values and automatically set it to this "Pencil" mode. Allowing the user to hit escape if they do now want to make the changes, but also hit return or select the next row to make the changes. I have tried forcing the cell into edit mode but this does not fix the issue.
I would be grateful for any ideas.
