I want a Javascript code for my webpage, which performs following action:

resize window to (100, 100)
disable any further Resizing,
disable toolbars,
disable scrolling...

Actually a code which forces the user to close the window.....
It become difficult for him to proceed further...

If you are OK with your site only working in Internet Explorer then showModalDialog is exactly what you need. But in terms of user experience design, maybe there are better options the members here could offer if you explained your situation a bit more.

Hiya everyone,

I have a dynamically generated (using the innerHTML property) set of list items that're floated into a 4-column list like follows:

<li style="width:40%">text</li>
<li style="width: 20%">text</li>
<li style="width: 30%">text</li>
<li style="width: 10%">text</li>
</ul>

The container that this list is in has to be able to dynamically resize. I've added overflow:auto to add scrollbars when the content in the box overflows.

BUT, when the container is resized small enough, instead of having a horizontal scrollbar (the vertical one works fine) the rightmost <li> gets pushed down to the next line instead of staying on one line with the other 3 <li>s and overflowing off the side of the window, making a scrollbar appear.

I've already tried white-space:nowrap in half a dozen places. Refuses to work. I can't use a table either, as dynamically writing a table causes a runtime error in IE and I want this code to be as compatible as possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated (note the extreme emphasis on greatly)

I am using asp.net 2.0 and ajaxPro in my web application.

1. How can bind my dropdown inside ajaxPro method, without using HtmlTextWriter?
Is it possible?
All the server controls are null inside the ajaxPro method.

2. So, i have created dynamic server controls inside the ajaxPro method and used HtmlTextWriter and rendered in javascript. Here in javascript, i can't able to get this dynamic controls by using getElementId method.

document.getElementId(asp.net control id + "ControlId");
but it returns null.

I have no experience with this particular product, but usually converters leave you with a messy source. It's better to rewrite/restructure your base to the new platform. That way you also gain experience.

I have a proxy setting in IE, which I do not want to change.

Also I have this piece of code

HttpWebRequest webRequest = (HttpWebRequest)
WebRequest.Create(url);
HttpWebResponse webResponse = (HttpWebResponse)
webRequest.GetResponse();

The problem is that, this Request is trying to go through the IE's proxy settings.

I want the request to not go through the IE's settings.

How can I achieve this ?

What do you mean? When viewed in your email client, like Outlook, the form is not getting filled in? A form is rendered by a web server, which Outlook, or any other mail client, is not.

I have a webpage that the user fills in details on.
(Name addy etc), he selects the type of query it is, Sales, Contractors etc.

The selection he makes in the dropdownlist selects an email address to send the formdata to.

So, data filled, user hits the SEND button and the email client opens and sends mail to the correct address.
However the data in the form is not placed into the body of the email.

The second code list I sent will put the data into the email, but does not allow for selection of emailto.

The first code list allows for the selection of the email addy but does not put the data into the body.

ANNOYING!

So is there anyway to send the data in the form within the first code section?

I cannot see why it doesn't.
