This is nowhere related to C#.
If any application experience an error that it is not prepared to handle, OS stops the application and prompts you the error dialog.

It's because i have a program that runs 24 hours and i want the program to send me an sms when this Don't send dialog occur.

Hi everyone,
I have a Windows application developed in C#. I use MS-Access database and OLEDB to connect with the database.
One of my client faced problem while executing the software. While studying the error log file that the software created, it has:
No error message available, result code: E_UNEXPECTED(0x8000FFFF)
The same client is able to run the software on other machines in same network. I have no access to the cilent machine. If anyone has experienced such situation or have any knowledge about how to resolve this then it will be of great help.
I have asked the client to provide the Windows Event Log.. that might be helpful.

Seems to be a permissions issue, can you check that the client have sufficient permissions to access the DB?

I agree with you that permission might be the issue. But the database is created with the installation process of the software. And the client faces the problem from very first exectuion. (And i think that the client does not have MS-Access installed on his machine)
I will work around this and post the result accordingly..

i am not any experience but in my opinion this problem is due to changing the version. try to use below connection string:
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OleDb.4.0;Data Source=|DataDirectory|mydb.mdb

Hi folks,
Good Day!
Is there a free extended framework like coolite for windows application? I saw coolite and i find out it's quite useful specially on the controls but it is only applicable for ASP.Net. I already read the Teletek and DevExpress both are useful but it's not for free. Hope someone here could refer me a useful framework for windows apps. Thank you guys.

DevExpress has a free suite of controls you can use. QIOS[^]also has a free suite you can use.

Hi all,
This is more of a winforms question. Here's the problem.. I have a FlowLayoutPanel which is populated by several PictureBoxes. Say I click on one of the picture boxes, is there a way I could find out which picture box out of the collection was clicked?
Have already considered assigning an ID for each picturebox, but this just seems crude. Is there a sleek way of doing this?

Every event has a sender object, you can interrogate the object to get the control type and the name (ID) of the control.
DataGridView oDG = (sender as DataGridView);

If the name property is not good enough what would you expect to use.

Hmm.. the problem with name was that the names were all the same. So each object was of type PictureBox and had the name picturebox1. But I suppose I could assign different names to each picture box when I instantiate them... somewhat the same as having a custom ID property.

Subclassing and adding an ID property is as good as anything else
public class IdPictureBox : PictureBox
{

I have a datagridview that is bound to a datatable in my application. I want to delete a row based on a value in a column. I have the code to remove the row from the datatable and it removes it from the datagridview on the refresh for rows 1-x. Here is my issue when I change the value on the first row(0) to delete it, I can't? Any help would be appreciated.

Clarify what you mean by, "I can't". If the row is deleted properly from the underlying datasource, then it will be removed from grid when properly refreshed.

Hi
I'm trying to create a button that would launch the default media player and start playing the first track of the Audio part of my mixed-mode CD.
Can someone please help me ? I'd like my button to do exactly the same as if I did a right_Click on my CD in the explorer and click on Play in the menu.
I can't use a Process.Play as it would open the Data part of the CD.
I tried with a shellexecute but it doesn't work.
Here is my code:
string CdPath = drive.ToString();
ShellExecute(IntPtr.Zero, "Play", CdPath, "", "",1);
Any help would be really appreciated !
The play function doesn't do anything. When I put Open instead, it opens a explorer window with the list of files on the cd...
