Hello guys....have you ever thought to call main() in another mathod of the same class...let me show an example
class A {
public static void main(String [] args) {
some code here....
}
public void someMethod() {
here i want to call main()
}
}
Can we do that?? Basically im trying to simulate ATM Machine on Console...and you know we need to go back to original MENU when we are done with some transaction.

This is the wrong way to do it. Use your main() method to drive the application. If you need some function to execute repeatedly then either call it (if static) direct from main, or create a new object of the class and call its method(s) within some control loop. So in your sample above main() should create a new object of class A and repeatedly call someMethod().txtspeak is the realm of 9 year old children, not developers. Christian Graus

ALLWAYS create another object in your main and work from the object or deeper.

Well, yes, you can call main because at the end of the day it is just a static method, so you can do:
A.main(args);
But as pointed out in the previous answer, why would you want to? If you find yourself doing this it almost certainly means that there is something wrong with your design.

yes...I started my problum from the scratch with better approach and it was working. So no need to call main() in another method of same class.

1) How do we use Command Line Interface (CLI) for java programs...i mean we provide arguments using CLI and main() in our java class will use them according to our instructions.
2) Lets suppose that our class has 2 functions Square() and Cube() in it. Now how provide an argument using CLI to one of these functions??

Your Java program should contain a main function defined as:
public static void main (String argv[])
The command line parameters can then be accessed from the argv array.

Further to Richards answer, you can take arguments when you START or accept INPUT ounce running.
A long, long time ago all programs worked like this:
Loop until input is "EXIT"
Prompt
Get Input
Process Input
When you process the input you'll need to tokenize what is typed and go from there. Enjoy.

I am in a very critical situation.I am having some float values and the the method I am using to scale is setScale that accepts only vector3d(int,int,int).So how can i create vector3d by using float values.Or is there any other way to create vector3d with flaoting values?

As usual, your question is so vague that it is almost imposible to give an accurate reply. You should really try to give much more information about the context of your question. Here, we don't have any clue what you might be talking about (unless by guessing)...
From which "library" is this vector3d class coming from ? Why are you using float values if you need to express positions in integers and not in float values ? From where are those float values coming from ? etc...

Actually,I got the answer to my question .but Anyway I will Explain you more in details.vector3d is from java3d Library.And I am getting float values some obj file format.Ans setScale is function of Transform3d.And SetScale are of types, one accepts float and other accepts vector3d.I was getting flaot values so my question was how to create a vector3d from flaot values.
But It solved After more googling.

It seems like you are trying to use a Java library for 3D programming. If that is the case, then there would most definitely be a class called FastMath in a package called math somewhere. You can use the FastMath.round(...) method within that class to convert the float values to an int without much overhead. This will enable you to then pass those values to the Vector3D class.
Hope this helps. I would have been of further help if I only knew what libraries you were using.

Hello Friends
I am deleting a file after loading it but some time if any exception occur or some other crash then that file is not deleting bcoz application crashes first.Is there any way to know when application terminates so that i can delete that file or is there any way that will delete my file inspite of any crashes or any other problem?
Any Ideas?

If I understand you correctly, the file should be deleletd by the app when it has finished using it but if the app prematurely exits due to an exception then the file does not get deleted.
0. If an exception is being thrown then it should be caught and managed.
1. There should be a single, safe exit point from the application.
2. At start up, can you check for already processed files and delete them? This may be the best solution.
