Apart from what Mark said,we can have both c# and vb.net classes in our Application.It is just like if you have some modules that are already written in some different language like VB or something else then you can use that directly in your C# application,you do not need to rewrite the code.Some time there are legacy code that are in different language you can use it directly.But if you are going to develop a new application, it is not recommended to use different language.
