CreateProcess requires an executable file's path. You may have to use cmd.exe and pass "copy" as the commandline argument.

The process name could be "cmd"
and its parameter - "/c copy ..."

But why don't you just copy the file from within the program? Now you'll run a Cmd to do the copy. Bet your language can copy the file with just 1 line of code....

Hi,
I'm using MFC MDI application i'm doing drag and drop operation from one view to the another view, and my question is when dragging i need to drag image of the source item to the destination item. I tried this but when mouse enters in to the next view it only shows the mouse pointer.
How to copy image from one view to the another when mouse enter in to the next view?

The dragged image is not a cursor but a property of the control.
This control (your CTreeCtrl) and not another knows how to draw it
You could overwrite this behavior
to use the different cursors of the classical dragging only,
without any private images...

One of my applications gives in some condition an application error that is recorded in Event Viewer->Application with:
- Category: None
- Type: Error
- Event ID: 1000
At its first version the program ended like this:
- create a window object with <code>new</code>
- run some jobs
- ends with <code>exit(0)</code>
I upgraded the program by using delete before exit.
The problem decreased in frequency but didn't disappear. Why?
P.S. Program written in VC++6.

This can be controlled using the manifest file for your project.
You will the .manifest file which is an XML file in your debug or release folder depending on you current configuration.
There is a node called requestedExecutionLevel that controls this.
By default this will be asInvoker.
The available options here are -
requireAdministrator
asInvoker
highestAvailable
Using these levels, you can tell how the application must start.

Sorry that I didn't tell you how to do it.
Take Project Properties -> Configuration Properties -> Linker -> Manifest File -> UAC Execution Level.
Here you have a drop down box from which you can make your selection.

I changed the settings of the project according to you.But it didn't solve my problem.I am explaining my problem to you in details.I want to access the hard disk of my system without being logged on as Administrator.I have created another user,but its unable to retrieve the handle of my hard disk. If I am running my application as Admin and giving the password then its working fine. I hope I have successfully explained you my problem.Please give a solution to my problem.

Only a process with administrative privileges will be able retrieve a handle to the hard disk.
If the user is not an admin, you will have to give the admin privileges (username and password) for it to work.
If any other way was possible, it would be a security breach.

Your routine generates a standard normal distribution (0 mean and 1 std dev), that you can use to generate a distribution with any mean or std dist.
Just use this transform:
N = Z * sigma + mu
where Z is standard normal, sigma is the std. deviation and mu is the mean.
