These are old, old (circa 2000) recommendations. I will update.
However, I use ACDSee for GIF compression and it's fantastic. Very few colour artefacts.cheers,

I tried to edit an article I just posted, and it won't let me scroll all the way to the end of the article in the editor pane.

The editor page was providing a subtle hint: your article is way too long. If you can't tell it all in a reasonably sized article, are you sure you really understand the subject?

I only read code that is properly formatted, adding PRE tags is the easiest way to obtain that. [The QA section does it automatically now, I hope we soon get it on regular forums as well]

I think it's more like a shock to the system. It actually *is* a reasonably sized article. The problem is that so many short non-articles have been posted as articles, the system thinks that they must be representative of an appropriate size..45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly

For quite some time now, "step 3 of 4" of the Article Submission Wizzard states: "Article must be 100 words or more." The standards have dropped so much your article for sure must be shocking.
Of course the 100 limit is completely ridiculous, the boiler plate text is more than 100 words!

Hello,
For each article, codeproject maintains a history of the previous versions ("Revision") and anybody can have a look at the previous article versions. However, it seems that there's no way to download the source code of the previous versions (a "Page not found" error is shown).
