I want to hide/show a particular row of my tablelayoutpanel by the click of a button. I dnt want to remove and add the row again,i jst want to simply show/hide....
Can smebody help me with the code....????

There is no facility to do this in the TableLayoutPanel methods and properties. You cannot make rows visible or hidden. You'd have to fake this using some other method.
Off the top of my head, you could move the section you want to a seperate TableLayoutPanel, which itself is put in a Panel control. You can make the Panel visible or hidden at will, taking its child controls with it. Or you could do it the other way and put your child controls in a Panel, then put the Panel in the TableLayoutPanel row. This method may not be feasible depending on your situation.

Use SizeType.Absolute with a value of 0F (for the RowStyle) to hide a particular row. For example, if you had 3 rows and wanted to alternately hide and show the middle row, you could use the following:
// Hide middle row.
this.tableLayoutPanel1.RowStyles[ 0 ] = new RowStyle( SizeType.Percent, 50f );
this.tableLayoutPanel1.RowStyles[ 1 ] = new RowStyle( SizeType.Absolute, 0F );
this.tableLayoutPanel1.RowStyles[ 2 ] = new RowStyle( SizeType.Percent, 50F );
// Show middle row.
this.tableLayoutPanel1.RowStyles[ 0 ] = new RowStyle( SizeType.Percent, 20f );
this.tableLayoutPanel1.RowStyles[ 1 ] = new RowStyle( SizeType.Percent, 20F );
this.tableLayoutPanel1.RowStyles[ 2 ] = new RowStyle( SizeType.Percent, 20F );
(Note that the "Percent" styles don't actually need to add to 100. The individual values are relative to the "total" of all the percents, so each row in the end winds up using 1/3 of the panel).
(Also, you should group the controls on the "hidden row" in some way so you can collectively disable them so they don't get focus when hidden via tabbing).

Hello
When I have a look at the Color and the Font property I use in my designer, the language in the two editors is a different one.
The FontDialog is displayed in German (i assume because of the operating system's language).
But the ColorDialog is displayed in English.
How can I change the ColorDialog's language to German as well?
I have searched here for articles about ColorEditors and found this one:
ColorEditorEx - An extension to the ColorEditor to support translucent colors[^]
On the screenshot the language is German, but when I open the application, its english again (the tabs).
I hope someone can tell me how it is possible to change the language of the ColorEditor to german
Windows language = german
Visual Studio = english (maybe thats the reason?)

Hello to all.
I have a problem, I need to encode a password string in SSHA(this uses SHA1 in some way). I don't know how to do this. I didn't find any article on the net about that.
I need to do this because I'retrieving UserDetails from OpenSSO server, and the password retrieved is in SSHA encoded, and I need to compare with the given one password that's the input for my method, but to do that I need to encode this using SSHA.
Some ideas?

SSHA is the default encoding in openLDAP - I havnt seen many/?any stand-alone implementations of SSHA, so, you could download openLDAP, pull the code you need out of that !
ps .. its also used by the htpasswd function in Apache, so you could d/load that as an alternative to openLDAP

There are many free articles introducing WPF on the net, including here on CodeProject; go to the articles page and look for the headings. I have not tried WCF yet but I suspect the same holds true for that.

There's a reason they aren't free. The authors have to eat, so it's not fair to expect them to spend months writing books on complex topics, and then expect them to give them away.
If you don't want to buy a book, then read through the WPF docs on MSDN, and read through the articles by Josh Smith, Sacha Barber and Karl Shifflett here on CP.

Do other people run across this Visual studio Help issue(I'm using vs2008 pro all service packs) and when I accidentally hit F1 or cause anything that resembled asking for help, the DExplore.exe opens up and runs "Help Update in Progress" for the rest of the day. VStudio is frozen and you cannot kill the dexplore thread without killing vstudio too.
I've tried setting help options to Not allow offline search, to no avail. I've trid opening up dexplore on its own, but even then F1 will trigger a new dexplore. I've tried removing F1 from the keyboard macros
Anyone else experiencing this. It happens to me on different computers as well.

Happens to me all the time. Not completely locked up however. It comes back after 4-5 minuts.
I never have found a good way to prevent it.

I have to import a table & a Query from c:\Programfile\asd\MyProject\test.mdb to c:\document&settings\ applicationdata\test.mdb.
I have created & established the Connection string & all. the only thing i am not getting is Query needed to pass...
Please help..

Well you should post it in the DB forum/section.
Anyway here's one way how you could do it(the query):
OleDbCommnand cmd = new OledbCommand(con);
cmd.CommandText = "CREATE PROC nameOfQueryHere(inName VARCHAR(50))
AS SELECT * FROM tblNameHere
WHERE tblNameHere.Name = inName";
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
Of course try catch and all that is up to you. I just posted an ideea.

Use a command string in witch you create the table and execute it[/EDIT]

Hi!
I've read arrow kay can only be intercepted by using KeyUp event. KeyPress only works with characters, and KeyDown allows Control Keys, too, but not arrow keys.
I have tried, and KeyUp works well... but only if i have no other controls in the form! If I have any control enabled and focussed, I can't trap KeyUp Form evnent... I suppose the focussed control traps it.
I have Visual Studio 2003, so I only can use .NET Framework 1 available (or so I have been told). I'm proggramming a simple form that allow me to brouse data fron a database, and I don't have access to this nice BindingNavigator control. So, I have created the form, binded controls, and created the First, Last, Prev, Next buttons to manage my CurrencyManager. It works fine, but I want to be able to browse just using my arrow keys. I think that trap arrow keys ON EVERY active controls in my form is a very poor solution...
Any help, please?
