In the forums we can post a response to any post. In QA we can either post an answer to the OP or post in the forum below the article which if the response needs to directed to the 'Answerer' is not exactly the right place.
Is it possible (I'm sure at this advanced stage it won't be trivial  ) to be able to post a comment to an answer along the lines of SO or is this breaching the concept behind QA?

I don't think that it would breach the concept - StackOverflow has a feature which allows comments on a particular message. If coupled with a system which notifies on an edit of the parent post, and a way of moving answers so that they are children posts, I can see how things would get very interesting.

Hey Chris,
I had a talk with Paul Conrad (also got down voted on a book review), it seems that the population at CP doesn't think book reviews should be apart of The Code Project. Is there any way you can place a header at the top telling the people who go there to read the article that, yes this is CP approved material?
I spent 1 1/2 weeks reading a book that costs $50. I think others should know what others thought about the content of the book, if it's worth the time/money.

To the CP crew:
Just wanted to say that I think the "Quick Answers" stuff is cool. I cannot explain why I find it easier to use than the 'normal' boards, but I believe it will allow me to participate more, in answering questions, than I have in the past (I'm sure Chris is now suddenly pondering if that's a good thing or not).
Just makes it quick to "jump in", bang out a few answers and then get back to work. (ok, I guess I can kind of explain why ... )

The main thing I don't like about it is probably down to how I use it. I tend to just go fopr the "unanswered" list, and answer if I can.
With the forums, I look at existign answers, and sometimes either add to or correct them. I also learn things from other peoples answers - I don't do that for QA stuff, because I don't look at it.
As I say, it is probably my own fault, but I think the existing forums work better.

I was using olde skool IE6 and Dad said I have to upgrade. So I did, to IE8.
Previously I had default filtering on QA, now I get the bucket loads of EVERY unanswered question. I am sorry, but I'm not going to answer question on Silverblight, OMG or WTF - I don't know anything about these new fangled things. I know COBOLC#, VB6 and Java and some general principals. Please can i have my filters back.

I know this is a trivial request, but we could use a :sarcasm: icon in Lounge messages. Nagy even invented a name for it: :sarcicon:
I know it's not a trivial mod, given the effort that has been put into the icons available, but I think it might get used a fair amount!

"Tongue in cheek"? Bulging cheek on one side, smile on other? Can you get that much detail into 16x16? It would probably take me a week to get a half-decent picture (that's why they don't pay me to do graphics design). You are obviously much more talented in that direction, judging from the existing smilies!
