Hi all.
I am facing a problem in which my some time client geting fallowing error
Error message--> "invaild ViewState"
Error page--> "http://mywebsite.com/ScriptResource.axd?d=uWsQnC017-
OzE1SUL_xQDR9vUTLzUyP3OnSHiY6j-5EnozkXw8U0HRMrqzRIKD6l9u9isubY8uhL4UPy2JyxjIgK8U-pxmousedown=
Error Targer site-->System.String DecryptStringWithIV(System.String,System.Web.Configuration.IVType)
for this i have tried in the internet but there is know complete solution some ware saying this is
error of IE8
Plese let me know why this error is comming and what is the solution of this.

No ,I have tried to reproduce same in all browsers(firefox,IE-6,7,8)but I am unable to do it.
this error was come from client.
Actually I have made a mail system in any error will come in my application the mail will come to me by which we know about error.
this error is comming daily ............

make EnableViewStateMac = false and try your luck
I think the root casue might be client using Vista and IE8 or IE7
are you not tracking client browser in error log. try to do that
that helps in trouble shooting.

I have a website up on a server & while I'm still debugging, I have the website's images stored on a separate server.
Unfortunately though, it appears I don't have the propper permissions set on my image server because everytime I try to view my website, I'm being prompted with a windows login popup (you can see an image of the popup here http://97.74.54.51/login.jpg[^] )
Any idea what permissions I need to set to remove this password?

You must have made a Virtual Directory for the images on the server.Provide it Anonymous access.

i am opening a web application from a windows applicatino using

eg.

I have a user control on my site (in directory UserControls/UserInfo. When I drop the control onto a page created from my master page template, it does nothing (i.e. you click on the "login" link and nothing happens). I even added an explicit link to a Login.aspx url on the LoginStatus line, which will work. However, the LogOut link does not work.
I've found I can drop this user control onto any new, blank (i.e. not derived from MasterPage.master) and all works as expected.
Also, when I run in debug mode, I get the following error when I click on the Login link:
"Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object doesn't support this property or method"
The method highlighted is: "theForm.submit();"
This call is in the javascript function created to do the postback:

The javascript issues I just listed may be a red herring.

...make sure that you don't have any other form controls on your page that have ID="submit". This caused the same error on my system whilst converting an HTML layout to ASP.NET because JavaScript was referencing a form element called submit, rather than the submit() method of the form.

To is a read only property. You need to pass the to address via constructor when you instantiate MailMessage class. See documentation[^].

If I remember correctly, I have posted you the code few days back. See I have wrote this code in CP's editor itself, that why some mistake is there. But from the error it is quite understandable.
