Have you configured SMTP service on the dev/deployment box? If yes check if the messages are in the Bad mail folder. Else configure SMTP service, All the best for that .

There might be a multitude of reasons why the mail is moved to bad mail. For starters check if the SMTP configuration is correct. As Anuragh has pointed, it could be a problem with the SMTP routing.

Also, open the message from the bad mail folder to see if there is anything wrong in the message itself, may be the from, to, etc is not valid.

Hi Peoples,

I am working in web application, and i want to open an additional window from the main form, it will show the additional details of the record( like tool tip window) and i want the same as modal window for the parent form.i have referred in the internet as all the examples are from asp.net codes.

is there possible the same via C#.net code,.?

if so please help me.

Hi Hema,

I think you can create one more page (say Modal page or sub page). On clicking a button in main page , try to display this modal page. Resize this page before displaying so that it looks like Modal webpage. Try javascripts to acomplish it.

No.... You cant..

You need to forcefully let the user install an application.. and access the Registry from your software. Wink | ;)

Its impossible access registry of the client side because of Browser security.

Actually i am trying to launch an notepad application in client system.i referred Whirly Wiry Web and created an application which works fine..But i have to create registry key and register the dll manually in the client system..i want this to be done through program.How can it be done?

Well... if your issue is to show any notes, I would recommend to show this in browser rather than opening it in notepad. You might use textarea easily to create an interface just like Notepad.

I saw you are using ActiveX. Well, ActiveX has some limitation as well. Even from ActiveX you cant register or directly access the file system. It has to use the interfaces it provides to access the file system from the browser.

AFAIK, you cant register some external dll from ActiveX as well.
So the only option, if you still require this, is let the user download your custom software and run in their machine. The executable would be downloaded to clients file system to access and register dlls .

Does your client Aware of that ? If yes, allow client to download one exe from your site and run. Which will call your Web Service to send you the information of registry. Or you can use ActiveX ( Only on IE ).

But my question is Does your client aware of this ?

How to set the all child control in Panel to Readonly Mode.
i have nearly 18 TB, 10 RadioButtionList and 10 DropdownLists in Panel Control.

Need a function which set the all the controls Readonly mode..

You can loop through the control collection for the panel and set the ReadOnly property as true wherever applciable. You can make use of reflection instead of switch cases. Like this:

PropertyInfo propInfo = this.Controls[ctrlIndex].GetType().GetProperty("ReadOnly");
if(propInfo != null)
propInfo.SetValue(this.Controls[ctrlIndex], true, null);

In case the control does not has a ReadOnly property, you can check for Enabled.

i am using role and membership provider in my website.The default password validation
when we create new user is given such that the password length must be atleast seven characters and shud be alpha numeric.I want to cutomize this validation to make it simple for user.how can i do it.plz guide me.....

Add a validator (or two)to the password text box so that it checks for the character size and characteristics you are after...
