Hi Abhishek,

Thanks for the reply. i am looking for the chat application same like Gmail chat, the chat application which you send is the common chat programms. There is no privacy in this chat application.

Make it private.

The concept is, you just update the sever with some specific id which is private to you and your partner.

Once you get the response from the other end, call the server to update your data.

If you can create group chat, making this private is no big deal.

Hello

I have created a website in HTML using CSS.it is properly running in IE8 but its not properly running in IE6.whole design is disturbed in IE6.plz help me to come out this problem.

IE8 is similar to FireFox. I think you need to fix your css properly to display it properly in IE6.

There are lots of things that you need to keep track.
So check on every design failure, and try to fix them one by one.

If you are getting a specific problem and want to fix it, you can tell us.

Thanks Abhishek but i have created my css properly with IE8 but when i run website on IE6 then the design is it totely disturbed?????? give me some more solution to come out from this problem.............

Yes . I know ...

There are lots of things that are not supported in IE6 and works fine in IE7 or IE 8...

Just for example:

Min-height, max-height css doesnt work in IE6 but works in most of the other browsers.

So check every css that you have used and write an equivalent for IE6.

Pass the sort expression in the Sort DataView's Sort property.

I think this might help you :

And to calculate the aggregate functions, I think there is also a Compute method where you can pass all the aggregate functions.

Other than that, you can also use LINQ to do this.

And F1 and Google are both disabled? There are loads of articles about doing this type of thing - LINQ is probably one of the easiest to use.

Use the data tables' DefaultView's Sort and RowFilter properties to order and select rows respectively!

Dataset.Tables["TableName"].DefaultView.Sort = "Column";
Dataset.Tables["TableName"].DefaultView.RowFilter = "Condition";

Hi, I have a vb application, which contains lots of calculation and I am converting that application to asp.net C#. There are so many variables of double types in the vb application and I also took double in the c# for those variables. Now problem is that I do calculation with the same equation in both the application, however result value does not match. I have a variable var1 in vb the calculate double value is 1.63870925710649 (for vb) and 1.6387092571064941 (for c#), I do not understand why these values are different for the same datatype. And I have to use this variable in my equation, since both language has different value, this may be the reason of different final output. Some times I have to break the same equation into two or more equations for the C# , to get the same result in C# and sometimes I get the same result. But sometimes I get the value in c# which does not match the value of vb. I do not understand which calculation is right vb or C#.

Both calculations are correct, except that the precision in C# is more than precision in VB

1.63870925710649 [VB]
1.6387092571064941 [C#]

Just round off the value the number of digits required and use it!

Thanks for your replay. But this is not the problem. How do I know how much digit I have to round up. There are more than 100 double variables and more than 100 complex calculation, then its very difficult to round each and every variable or calculated value, however in vb they did not use any round method.

I understand that it can really be a pain in your scenario. How about doing the rounding off at specific check points?

BTW, what is the system precision that is expected??
