use the following

Gridview.rows[index].cell[0].text

This way u will get the data..

Hi,

If you are using <asp:button> in template field of column then you can get the value of selected row's first column in that button's click event.

e.g

protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Button btn = sender as Button;
GridViewRow row = btn.NamingContainer as GridViewRow;
//Get the First Column's value
string value = row.Cells[0].Text;
}

Page navigation Problem using Javascript

Hi,
I have a page navigation problem for the previous page when i am trying to navigate user to the previous page using the following javascript stmt
window.location.href='welcome.aspx';

the above page resides in the same directory as the current page.

This problem is coming when i am trying to browser the site from other system.From local system it was working fine.

pl help me if anyone has come across with the same problem?

Hi..

I am using asp.net/c# (VS 2008/3.5). I am working on web application and developed microsoft report (rdlc). Now I want to export it to word or PDF through my own functionality as i will be hiding the reportviewer's tool bar.

could u guide me for this..

I think You are talking abt Windows Application?
There is a office addon in windows application..!

i am keeping all the Menu names in the xml file(menu.xml) and binding that xml into dataset(Server.Mappath(~/menu.xml)) and displaying in the page.i am getting the following error message in some machines "Invalid URI: There is an invalid sequence in the string", but it is working fine for some machines. what is the reason for this.

There might be some invalid characters. Try something with server.urlencode and urldecode.

Can i bind the xml file into the Dataset using with Server.UrlEncode

Eg: Dim ds as Dataset=Server.UrlEncode(server.mappath(~/menu.xml))

Couldn't find from where i am getting this error. The Same source code is working fine for some machines but not for few machines. Error is getting when i am clicking some menu Links. Menu Loading from xml file.

Are you Using it for Displaying Menu Items..!
Then
Why Dont you use Menu Control and SiteMap PathControl for displaying Menus..!

Hello,

I have one Fileupload control in usercontrol. And I am loading usercontrol to in panel within updatepanel of page dynamically.

So the scenario is like this :

Masterpage
--- Default.aspx
---- UpdatePanel
--- ASP Panel
---- Usercontrol loaded according to user request.

I have loading the usercontrol dynamically , As User can load the usercontrol multiple times

I can able generate usercontrol while postback of the page.

The problem is, When I click "Upload" button within usercontrol I am not getting postedfile of fileupload

I have also tried following method in usercontrol to solve this problem , but no success yet

<asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel1" runat="server" UpdateMode="conditional">
<Triggers>
<asp:PostBackTrigger ControlID="IbUploadT" />
</Triggers>
<ContentTemplate>
<asp:FileUpload ID="fupResource" runat="server" EnableViewState="true" />
<asp:ImageButton ID="IbUploadT" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/App_Themes/White/Images/Add.ICO" Height="16px" onclick="IbUploadT_Click" />
</ContentTemplate>
</asp:UpdatePanel>

Even though the page is postingback , I am not getting the postedfile of Fileupload

Please help me.

As you're loading your usercontrol dynamically, you've to add it to viewstate dynamically too.
